Good Sunday! And Day 6...

The town of Meersburg, one of my favorite places in Germany.

So... I've had a busy, productive day and I've got over 11,000 steps in. This morning I gave the dogs a bath... you can kind of say they've had their spa treatment day. *smiles* In addition to the bath, they got their heartworm medication, their flea and tick treatment and their nails clipped.  They've also done a 2 1/2 mile walk this evening and now they are resting. Oh yea and we laid out in the hammock a couple times today.

Other than that, this morning I finally got around to coloring my hair and then I've spent some time doing laundry (got all my clothes folded and put away!), I did some dishes and made a pizza for a late lunch/early dinner.

I've done okay today with not craving candy, chocolate/sweets, or soda, but probably because I've been keeping busy all day - that helps. Still not seeing any benefit from this "fast".  I would have thought if I laid off sweets - candy, etc, that I would drop a couple pounds by now. But... alas... no luck.  Oh well.

Okay... signing off. Oh yea... my lavender which is just outside my front door is starting to bloom! YAY!

Day 5 and getting harder to go without...

So... as I continue "fasting" from Soda, candy, cookies and sweets in general, I am not seeing any benefits or results (i.e. not even a 1 pound loss).  That's sure not motivating to continue this "fast" or whatever it is called.  It was so tempting today to have a Kinder Egg... argh... but so far I have resisted. I did get up and make a fairly large breakfast this morning... and I've had a small pack of Ritz crackers...  I've also had some home-made Kettle corn (which I have decided isn't candy or cookies... *smiles*).

I did go out for a little bit today, spent some time with a friend who is leaving.  She was going to leave me her 220 Microwave and iron, but as it turned out, there was an American family just arriving in Germany that were going to stay at the same hotel... so I just went ahead and passed it on to them.

Haven't been doing much today, it's been rainy the better part of the day, although it isn't raining right now.  I decided not to go down to the Dorf fest tonight, so I made a pizza (from one of the German grocery stores in town) and I've been watching a couple movies.  I finally watched "Casablanca" and now I'm watching "Catch and Release" a romance movie).  I haven't gotten any of the things done that I've had on my list... guess I'd better get busy when the movie is over! *smiles*

Okay... keeping it relatively short...

Day 4 - Ugh! and THANK God it's Friday!

These are the flowers gracing my table this week... I *love* them and they still look as fresh today as they did last week when I bought them!

Work went okay today, no clients today so I got to get caught up on my "Peer Reviews" and knocked out a lot of training (like I care about blood borne pathogens). I didn't get it all done because the computer system kept messing me up.  Overall it was a good day though, and I felt it was a productive day.

Today (day 4) has been the hardest day so far to go without Candy, cookies or soda, I think.  I survived... but man, it was tempting so often, especially this afternoon to want to reach for some candy (I have plenty in my office).  I feel like the weekend should be easier than during the week...I say that though and realize that our town's DORF Fest is this weekend (small-time festival, lots of beer drinking, live music, some games for the kids...). Guess I'll have to have a glass of wine with whatever I buy to eat tomorrow night.

Tonight I've just been doing some laundry (I took the dogs out for about a 45 minute walk and I'm actually thinking about heading to be before 10!).  I've also got the dishwasher running (I have been putting the dishes in there since I made the Chocolate Chip cookies earlier this week).

Tomorrow I'm going to go pick up some 220 appliances from my friend Laurie, apparently she wasn't able to sell them, and they fly out on Sunday, so she asked if I knew anyone that wanted them. I told her I would come pick them up and give them to some needy couple or family. I think it's just an iron and a microwave.

And of course, at some point tomorrow evening I'll head down to the Dorf fest. I wish they sold "Steinenbronn" tee shirts... I'd love that. (and those that know me... KNOW I would love that).

Weather-wise it was about 50* this morning and warmed up to 61* I think today. It's been overcast most of the day with some sprinkles here and there. Wish summer would come back.

Oh... and I'm OFF call! YAY!  I get a little break now before I pull on call again.

Okay... signing off...

Day 3 *smiles*

When I was out at Ritter Sport this past weekend, I bought myself a new phone cover... looks like small Ritter Sport candy bars!  At least it's not a very common phone cover and it's easy to Spot.  Ha ha... and I probably shouldn't be posting this picture... because it might make me want to have some candy!  I *am* on Day 3 without any Candy, cookies or Diet Soda.  Sometimes it is harder than others... this afternoon I *really* wanted a snack... so I had some pretzels instead.  And I'm still drinking Crystal Lite instead of my diet soda.  I am not noticing any difference in how I feel or in my weight... at least I don't seem to be having caffeine withdrawals.

Work went okay today, as I mentioned yesterday, it was a light day and then when I was supposed to do an intake on a family (3 people), they no-showed for their appointment.  At least I was able to get all my notes done for today so tomorrow I can focus on knocking out some training and getting my peer reviews done.

Today it has been rainy here... I took the dogs out for a short walk then I came back and made dinner. I had a small baked potato and a steak... I shared the steak with the dogs... they are SO spoiled!  But... they are good doggies.

Okay... signing off so I can go take them out for a short potty break before "So you think you can dance" comes on (it's a TV show).

Day 2

Looking down a narrow street in Waldenbuch... if you click on the lower picture, and enlarge it, I like the way they have the potted plants hanging on the side of the building.

So... work went okay today, I had one no-show, but I think I only got 1-2 notes written today. I feel I should have been more productive. I had to deal with  one issue that took me over an hour to deal with (paperwork wise)... anyway... the day ended on a good note... with a good session.  I'm seeing a family that is having some difficulties and I *really* like them, they have very good hearts.

Oh... and yesterday I think I forgot to say what "Day 1" meant.  Yesterday was my 1st day of NO cookies or candy or SODA! (I typically drink Diet Pepsi with some Sugar Free Vanilla flavoring added).  So far I have made it through today as well with no cookies, candy or soda. The sweetest thing I have had has been fruit (2 bananas and a strawberry *smiles*). I'm just doing this for a week to see if I can make a week. *smiles*  I'm also guessing I will lose some weight just by avoiding these 3 things.

Tonight I've just been watching "America's Got Talent." It just got over so I'm going to go take the dogs for a short walk and then head to bed.  So... I'll sign off and do just that!

Day 1

These are more photos from Waldenbuch, these buildings are part of the Waldenbuch schloss, which is also known as Castle Forest Book and was a hunting lodge for the Dukes of Wurrtemberg.  Here's a link for more information about it...
http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=de&u=http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schloss_Waldenbuch&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dwaldenbuch%2Bschloss%26rlz%3D1T4WQIA_enDE529DE530

Work went okay today, I had an appointment that took 2 hours, so where I might have used that to get notes done... nope... no notes done.

After work I went over to my bank to check about my re-financing my car and they gave me a 2.24% loan AND $100 for re-financing.  My car payment will drop quite a bit, I'm happy about that.

I took the dogs for a short walk when I got home, just up to the "4 corners" area and back.  It felt cold, I think it is in the low 60's out.  Feels like our short summer is already over.

There's one way I go when I walk the dogs and it brings us back more through town and there's a little park, when we walk through the park, there is a lot of clover there... so I keep looking for a 4-leaf clover.  One of these days I'll find one. It reminds me of when I was walking on the beach looking for seashells... little things delight me. *smiles*

Okay... signing off.

Early post...

Some more views of Waldenbuch buildings

Work went okay today, I started off with a meeting this morning and then had someone come in that I wasn't sure if they would come in (I had seen them last week and left it optional for today).  That took up most of the morning (plus doing follow-ups and getting 3 more notes written from this past week). This afternoon I had 3 back-to-back appointments so it kept me busy til after 4pm and I left work about 4:40 to head over to the bank to ask about the status of possibly getting a lower interest rate on my car.

Well, the guy said that my credit (even though there is still one negative action on my credit) was actually one of the higher credit scores that they have seen at the Credit Union (hooray!).  So, he said he could lower my interest rate by about 5% which will, in turn, lower my car payment (on a 5 year plan), by almost $200!  How cool is that?  That will come in handy as I prepare for furloughs and the repayment on the overpayment of my utilities.  Once I make it through the next year (repaying and furloughs), then I'll bump my payment on my car back up to where it is now so I can get it paid off quicker.

Not much else going on. I was going to make chocolate chip cookies last night, but when I checked the "box" of brown sugar that I had on my shelf, there was a hole in the plastic liner, so it was rock hard. I tried to soften it by putting it into the microwave for about 30 seconds and then I put it in a Tupperware container with some bread and the last time I checked, it was still really hard. So, I stopped today and bought some more brown sugar, so plan to make some chocolate chip cookies tonight to take into work tomorrow.

Okay... signing off...

End of another weekend

A picture of a couple half-timbered houses in Waldenbuch.

So... it was a lazy day. I got up about 9 and caught up on my Facebook and emails.  Then I got up and took the dogs for a walk. (they had been up earlier to go potty). After making my typical Sunday brunch (Egg, bacon and toast), I took a nap for a little bit with the dogs, then we went out for another short walk.  I managed to box up some things to send to my oldest daughter in Alaska, guess I'll mail those on Tuesday. One of the things is a small jewelry box that I got in Morocco, it's a "secret" box that has several steps to get into it. I think she will like it. Before I packaged up their box, I took a video of me opening the box so I can send it to her once she gets the box.

This afternoon I laid out on my hammock for another hour or two, that was nice. Then I had to run some errands (to the store and then I also went into work for a couple hours to get some notes done).

I had some chicken and small roasted potatoes for dinner... now I'm stuffed and it's bedtime... so I'd better sign off.

More strawberries and such...

I went strawberry picking with my friend Laurie today... they are SOOO good! I could eat them all right here in the field!

I went out to the town of Dettenhausen where a co-worker lives, they have a brand new grocery store there named Edeka (it's a "chain" of stores).  I bought some shish-kabobs for my dinner tonight. One looks to be pork, the other is beef, but alternating with bacon-wrapped green beans.  Then I also bought three shish-kabobs that had small potatoes wrapped in bacon. THEY WERE DELICIOUS!

Here they are after they are cooked.  The doggies helped me eat the beef shish kabob. *smiles*

So... woke up this morning and laid in bed for awhile reading on my iPad (catching up on emails and Facebook).  My friend Laurie knew that I wanted to run out to Ritter Sport (Candy company) today to pick up some candy, so she had sent me a message asking if I wanted to go with her. I told her I had a few errands to run (I wanted to go to the Pet Store over in Holzgerlingen, Ritter Sport in Waldenbuch and then out to Dettenhausen to check out the new Edeka store that one of my co-workers told me about. I asked Laurie if she wanted to come on over to the house (that way she could say good bye to the doggies as well...she was their first dog sitter over here), and run my errands with me, she said "sure!"  So... got up and got dressed, took the dogs out, vacuumed and mopped the main floor (really needed it) and then Laurie showed up and we headed out.

On the way over to Holzgerlingen I told her we would be passing a strawberry place where you could pick your own strawberries.  She had mentioned last week that she had wanted to go strawberry picking before she leaves Germany (in less than a week! YOWZA!), so I asked her if she wanted to stop on the way to Holzgerlingen... so we did. I just picked one container of Strawberries, she picked 2 (for her, Wayne and Kyle).  She had SO much fun picking strawberries!  Then we went to the Pet Store (she had never been to that one) so I could pick up another bag of dog food, and some more doggy treats. From there we hit a few detours (construction related) on our way to Waldenbuch, but we made it.  I bought more chocolate than I should have, but whenever I send my kids a package, I usually stick some chocolate in (whatever German chocolate I have around the house).  Because of construction, we drove through the old part of Waldenbuch both coming and going out to Dettenhausen (the next town past Waldenbuch).  We took pictures there, I'll post them later this week.

We were back home before 3, and Laurie had to head home (she's supposed to be cleaning and prepping for her move).  I went ahead and got my Hammock out of the Garage and got it put together and laid out on the back patio on the hammock for a couple hours. The doggies want to lay on me though when I am out there... which makes it kind of hard to try and tan at all.  This week I've been making them "snack cubes", I break up parts of their treats and put it in water and then freeze them.  They seem to like them (especially when it is warm).

About 6:30 I took them for a 2.5 mile walk... it had cooled down a bit, I think it was about the mid 70's.  It was a nice walk. I just wore my "crocs" (flip-flops) instead of tennis shoes, and did okay.

Then I came home and made my dinner... which was delicious! I also bought some garlic-marinated chicken breasts at the Edeka store today, that's going to be my dinner tomorrow. Num num.  I'm still full from my dinner... not sure if I will have strawberries tonight or not.

Okay... signing off... from a beautiful day in Germany!

Wow, cool!

The moon is rising over my neighborhood, in a couple days it will be the "biggest" moon of the year, just wish it were rising AFTER dark!

This guy was out cutting the hay in the fields
Thought I'd post a couple photos from when I was out walking the dogs at sunset.

So... work went okay, but I didn't get my notes done today. Darn it!  Guess I'll be going back into work sometime this weekend to get the notes done. I don't think it will take me more than about an hour and a half to get them finished.

Still no word on any jobs... If I'm meant to transfer, guess it will happen (when it is supposed to happen).

I stopped by my Credit Union today to ask about the possibility of re-financing my car loan to get a lower rate (the guy I deal with at the CU suggested last year, that I come back in a year to check my credit rating and see about getting a lower rate). While I was there, he looked up the current value of my car and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that my car is worth about $5,000 more than what I owe on it. I'll find out on Monday whether or not I can get a lower interest rate.  (I figure that will lower my payments, or how long I will need to pay on my car).

Not much going on, I've just been taking it easy tonight, watching some TV and I've taken the dogs out a couple times. I sat on my back patio for awhile and brushed the dogs, so they don't shed as much.

Other than that... I'm on call now for the coming week... I'm praying for a quiet week.

Time to sign off...

Hanging out... watching "Argo" finally

Close up of the flowery bush in front of my house...

Work went okay today, I had a LOT of appointments scheduled, but had 3 cancellations (two were brand new appointments that I hadn't even met with yet).  I think with the warm weather, people would rather be outside and traveling rather than sitting in an office for some counseling.

Tonight I'm just chilling at home, watching the movie "Argo" (about the embassy take-over in Iran - A dramatization of the 1980 joint CIA-Canadian secret operation to extract six fugitive American diplomatic personnel out of revolutionary Iran.).  It actually was pretty good and had me sitting on pins and needles for the last half of the movie.

Okay... just a short note today...

Another hot day, but cooling off tomorrow...

Another sunset photo from the other night...

So... when I got home, I checked the temp on my phone, it was 95*!  (AWESOME)... but too hot to walk the dogs, so we just did a VERY short walk and they were panting.

Work went okay today, steadily busy and got to meet with a couple awesome kids at the end of the day.  I got some good news today at work, if you are on my FB, you know what it is.

Tonight I got to meet some potential new neighbors (my neighbors Tamie & Kurt are moving back to the States) and if the ones that I met tonight are the ones that get the house, then that will be neat, because she works at the same clinic I do (but in a different building).  I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that they get the house (although personally, I think the owner is asking about 300 euros more a month than he *should* be).

Okay... it's already after 10pm... so I'm going to sign off.

Just a TAD warm...

I took these photos about 6:30pm tonight.  Just a TAD warm.  But... I don't want to complain about the heat... especially when I have friends who are deployed right now to Afghanistan.  I have the luxury of working in an air conditioned office... I have the luxury of driving a car with good air conditioning in it.  And while I don't have air conditioning in my house... I am not overly warm in the house (especially if I go down to the basement, but I *am* okay just sitting in  my living room). I heard someone today say that the heat in Afghanistan is so bad, especially when it is windy, that it is like sticking your head into a dryer while it is running (not possible, I know... but, you get the idea).  I have friends who have been deployed where it is 115-130* and they have to go out and do their job (war doesn't take a holiday).  Please keep those who are deployed in your prayers whenever you are tempted to complain about how hot is it outside.

Work today went okay, I was fairly busy all day. I had two of my appointments for Thursday call to reschedule, so my Thursday will be easier than I had expected. I can use that time on Thursday to catch up on my notes, so I can go into Friday and focus more on training.

I'm on call tonight. My boss wanted to head up to Heidelberg for a "book club" meeting (I think it is the last one). I don't mind.  I don't have any plans. I just can't go take the dogs for their 2.5 mile walk, but with as hot as it is outside, I don't think they will mind.

Not much else going on... so I'll sign off.

Sunrays...

I was trying to capture some sunrays at sunset tonight... I guess I was able to get a couple of them anyway.

So... only got about 6 hours of sleep last night, mainly because I was on the phone and because I was reading.

Work went okay today, I only had 2 appointments and a  meeting, but didn't get too much done in the way of notes (assessments) like I had hoped.  It was a VERY warm day... in fact it was still 88 degrees at 9pm tonight! When I got into my car after work, the temperature said 115*! YOWZA!  Makes me wish I had a pool to come home and jump into!

I had a nail appointment after work, so had to rush home and take the dogs out across the street and then head to my nail appointment. I didn't leave work til almost 5, because I had an appointment that ran a little over (it was a family appointment and the young son just about broke my heart over some conflict he is facing).

My nail appointment went fine and I came straight home afterwards, but waited until about 8:30 to take the dogs out for their walk, hoping it would cool off more.  Since I had forgotten my fitbit at home today, and because it was so hot, I just walked the dogs up to what I call the "4 corners" area. (Since I wasn't aiming to make 10,000 steps for today on the fit bit).

Okay... it's already about 10pm. I'm having a late dinner... a glass of wine, some fresh strawberries with whip cream and some fresh cherries!  Sounds like a winner of a dinner to me! (ha ha).

Strawberry pickin!

 Strawberry fields...

My "haul!"  I only picked 1 container of strawberries (figured if I got more they might go bad) and I also bought a bottle of "Strawberry wine." I wonder how that will taste?  I've eaten a few of the strawberries (I ate a few on the way home). The nice thing about picking strawberries here in Germany, is that there are no pesticides used.
Tonight I took the dogs out for our 2.5 mile walk about 8pm, and got back just as the sun was setting.

So... to backtrack on the day, I slept in this morning (after a 6am potty break for the doggies), then putzed around the house for awhile. I managed to get some laundry done (haven't folded clothes yet though) and I also vacuumed downstairs and the main floor. (I didn't get to the mopping).

I took the dogs for a short walk this morning (about a mile) and then this afternoon went over and did picked strawberries (they are REALLY good... nice and juicy and tasty!).

About 4:30 I met up with a family friend and we had dinner at the Brau Haus (a local German restaurant).  It was really good to see her. She's over here TDY (works with the military) for 3 weeks. She grew up with my girls, moreso when they were young, by the time all the kids got to middle school, they were in Fairbanks and my kids were going to school in North Pole, so while we would say "hello" when we all saw each other, the kids didn't hang out much anymore.  Anyway... Ash looks wonderful and it sounds like she's got a LOT going for her.  (She outranks ME pay-wise!).  Anyway... we had a nice dinner (and I had enough leftovers for a meal tomorrow).

Okay... it's already 10:30pm (I didn't get back with the dogs until 9pm or so).  Guess I'd better finish up the cherries I am eating (that I bought LAST weekend at the Strawberry fest...lol)... and head to bed.

Had a good day...

I seem to be on a flower theme here on my blog! *smiles*

So... I got up this morning and headed to the beauty shop to get my hair cut and then since I was close, I went on into work for several hours. Part of that time I was "putzing" around... I wiped down my desk and furniture in my office (I have the cleanest office of all the Social Workers that I work with). I got all my notes for this past week finished, with the exception of the assessment paperwork (which I brought back home with me). I think I have 5 assessments to write.  If I don't get them done here at home, my Monday *should* be fairly light. I think I only have 2 appointments scheduled (the clinic itself is closed on Monday for training).

I went and did a little shopping after I left my office... I guess that's not quite true... I went to the store but didn't buy anything. I made a payment on a bill, that's about it.

Then I came home and took my doggies for their 2.5 mile walk. I thought I would try to use my Runkeeper app on my phone, and true to its nature... it didn't give an accurate report of what I did, it said I did 5 miles and *I* know I didn't!  I didn't hear any cuckoo birds... I hope I have the chance to hear them again this year. I've been taking my camera so I can videotape the SOUND (because Lord knows it is hard to see them!).

Tonight I've been surfing the web. I decided to check the "Free Credit Report" site... which I haven't done for a long time and was VERY happy to see that my Credit rating is "Above Average."  That's been awhile coming. I went through some financial difficulties in my early days in Hawaii (that was back when I had started for a company and asked them to take "0" exemptions and $10 a payday and they ended up taking 10 exemptions.  By the time I caught it (almost a year later) and they adjusted my pay accordingly, well, let's just say my finances took a BIG hit... and then I had 2 credit cards and they were charging me 30% interest rate.  (I no longer have those cards!).  Anyway... that was the best news ever, when I saw that my credit score is apparently no longer affected by those decisions (not so good ones) that I made back then.

Not much else going on... I've been reading through a series of books and I'm on the last one of the current series.  The author has a new book coming out on Monday, it's for the first of her series that I read, I should go in and pre-order it (to be downloaded to my Kindle app).

Not sure what I will do tomorrow... hopefully sleep in, possibly go pick some strawberries and then if the weather cooperates, I may get my Hammock out and lay in it out on my back patio for awhile. Tomorrow is definitely a "take it easy" day for me.

Time to sign off.

Busy Day for only having one appointment

Peanut's tail is wagging! (it's actually like a metronome at times).

Some flower shots from today when I was walking the dogs.  We did our "normal" 2 1/2 mile walk (and I am over my 10,000 step goal for the day).  I took my camera in hopes of recording a cuckoo bird... but no luck again today.

Work went okay today, but started off with a 2 hour meeting, then had one appointment, and then had another meeting (actually two) with my supervisor, one about a client that I am concerned about and then also about the modified "on call" roster for the next few months.  With all of that, I only got 2/3rds of my notes written (14), but I still need to get 5 assessments typed up and 2 "2nd" notes (which are almost as bad to do as the initial write-up).  Argh!  I brought work home with me, and if I get busy tonight, I might try to get them knocked out and then go into work tomorrow and get them entered into the system. These are just notes basically for the last 3 days (including today).  I didn't feel bad for having so many notes, when my boss called me in for computer assistance (technical... she couldn't figure out something) and I saw that she has notes that are OVER a month old that she hasn't completed (the "industry standard" is that they are supposed to be entered within 72 hours).  She was taking her laptop home for the weekend and thought if she felt up to it, she might try to knock out some notes. Even though I take fairly good notes in session, I don't think I'd want to go back more than a week and try to capture what happened in session.

I could have left an hour early today (most of my co-workers did), but I didn't feel right leaving early with so many notes to write.  As I looked back over my schedule and the "credit" I get for seeing clients, I  got 33 hours worth of direct patient care in this week and then had 4 hours worth of meetings, a few times of "consultation" with peers, and then realize it is no wonder I have difficulty getting all my work done.  That gives me 3 hours to get my notes done (NOT enough time when we have to do a 7 page note for new clients, and 5 pages for each follow up appointment/client).

No plans for the weekend, unless I decide to do something "spontaneous." I'm hoping to get together with a family friend (she grew up with my daughters) Sunday for dinner, and I know there is an international fest tomorrow in Sindelfingen if I want to go. I *do* have a haircut appointment at 9am tomorrow (thought if I made it that early, I would be motivated to get up and get out of the house!). I had the chance that I could have taken an introductory class to Paragliding tomorrow (all day for a fairly reasonable price), but when I talked with the person that was telling about it, I realized I'd have to be hauling the parachute up the hill each time to jump, not sure I'm up to being a mountain goat, as much as I would *love* to go Paragliding.  The person said that with what I weigh, I would be using a "wider" sail.  (I am sure that means MORE weight). Oh well, it was a fun thought while it lasted!  I guess I'll have to settle for finding a "tandem" paragliding experience some day.

Okay... signing off..

Warm Thursday! 84* today!

Loving my daisies!

So... today was busy at work and I even had a cancellation.  Actually it worked out well to have the cancellation, otherwise due to the way they account for my caseload, I would have been credited for more than 8 hours for the day.  It's been a very warm day (84*, although when I got into my car after work, it said it was 95*!).  I didn't take the dogs for as long of a walk as I normally do, they were panting after a quarter mile or so. I just let Peanut kind of lead how far she wanted to go (she was pretty darn indecisive!)... she started to come back towards the house, but then decided to head up a small road through a field, so we walked up that way and then came back down through the town.

This morning I accidentally woke up at 4:45am instead of 5:45am.  The alarm clock I use with my phone has a 1-touch button to switch between 2 hours (i.e. 4 and 5, 5 and 6, etc). I think it's so you can change to daylight savings time easier... anyway, I must have hit that button and not realize it last night, so I woke up an hour early and didn't realize it for about a half hour, by then I was fairly awake.  I just took the dogs out for another potty break as we get ready for bed, it's starting to get pretty windy out there and my guess is that we are going to have a story night.

Okay... signing off...

Prayers answered

Well, I had put out a prayer request yesterday on my Facebook page and today I found out there was an answer to prayer.  I'm glad God answers prayers.

Work went well today, it was crazy busy and it will take me a few days before I get all the notes caught up.  I didn't even take a lunch break. I just had a "lunchable" for lunch.

No word on job prospects at this point... so I'm still waiting to hear more about that.

Okay... keeping it short.

Photos from today

Flowers in front of my house...

 Daisies in my neighbor's yard
The sun is starting to set (as I took the dogs out for their evening walk).

Work went okay today, it was fairly busy.  I didn't get as many notes written as I had hoped to.  After work I took the dogs for a medium walk (not the usual 2.5 miles because it had rained this afternoon and so the roads were kind of muddy, so we stayed on the pavement).

Things are going okay today... it's a day of moving forward - which I am doing.

Okay... I'm going to keep this short.

Another rainy day in Germany...

So... work went okay today, it was a fairly busy day.  All week should be busy.  It was rainy today as well, so wish we would get summer on a more permanent basis than a day or two here and there!

Been dealing with some other stuff tonight... am aggravated with a friend that I thought I could trust, guess I'm too trusting and too kind, most of the time.  Guess it's time to evict people like that from my life.  It's not something I really want to write about here on this public forum of a blog...  so I guess I'll sign off for the night. It's almost 10pm anyway.  I *do* have to say, even though I sometimes have struggles, there are still some good people in the world and even though I may have struggles, I know "this too shall pass" and I know that the Lord won't give me more than I can handle. *smiles* (at least I *hope* not!).

Okay... signing off...
