Koenigsbourg Castle

These are some more pictures from the castle near Kintzheim, France.

Well... it was a very busy day and no, I didn't get all my notes done. Normally we have a staff meeting on Friday mornings, but my boss is on leave, and my co-worker didn't bother to come in until 8am (she has only made it to work one day on time this week, a couple times coming in a half hour late. I have to wonder what is up with her, if she has something wrong). Anyway... we ended up with some "Equal Opportunity" training this morning. Then I had a consultation with one of my other co-workers (we share a client/couple) before and then again for a few minutes after their appointment with me today. My favorite co-worker, who I thought would be out today was only taking off a few hours early, so he was there today. He came in and asked how in the world I got credit for 17 RVU's (RVU - revenue generating units???) on Tuesday. Well, that was the day I had a family session with 5 people (that was an intake appointment which you get more credit for... because they take longer) and I had a new couple come in that day for counseling so that would have been a little more time and then I had one of my regular families come in (3 more in that batch)... so with those 10 people I saw in three appointments (two of those appointments were an hour and a half long) and then with the rest of the people I saw that day... I guess it ended up adding up to 17. (See... I *knew* I was working too hard!). All week I had contact with 36 clients. Oh... and my *one* co-worker... saw 6 people all week. I think I am working too hard. I did find out that there are two other Social Worker positions open in my area here, but they'd be the same pay (but less stress). And I think I'm feeling a little overwhelmed by work this week, as I may have mentioned, because this week is coming after two rather mild weeks and with three heavy weeks ahead (due to compressed weeks because I'm going to North Carolina September 12-16th. I think when I left work today, I still had something like 12 notes to write, so I *will* be going back into work for a few hours sometime this week (I can't put it off until next week because next week, with only 4 days, is already way busier than I'd like it to be).

Other than that... not much going on... just hanging out with the doggies tonight, watching some TV and I spent a little bit of time on my gazelle trying to get some steps in (because I only took the dogs for a short walk after work).

It's almost 10pm and I'm hoping to get to bed at a decent time tonight instead of staying up so late like I usually do on weekends.

I'm also on call... so I need to be mindful of that.

This is the Castle I went up to this past weekend (Koenigsbourg Castle). This was taken from the Monkey Preserve

The main gate to the castle ground

An overview of the castle in brass relief.

So... today was another crazy day. Now I've got 24 notes to finish from the last 3 days (I did get Monday's done). Next week is just as busy. Most of the clinic will be closed tomorrow (taking a 4-day weekend), I've got one appointment scheduled for the morning (and I had one other one that rescheduled from tomorrow). Then it's going to be a LOT of work to try and get all of those notes written. If I can work without distraction... I should be able to get them done. What will help is that my favorite co-worker is off tomorrow (heading out on ANOTHER cruise... his 4th since April!) and my boss is on leave this week... and most of the clinic is out tomorrow. So... I *should* be able to focus and get through the notes. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I had one appointment today that I thought was going to be more stressful than it was, for that I am grateful.

Other than that... our community over here is dealing with a suicide. The person shot himself in the head after finding out his wife had been cheating on him. It's not anyone that I knew, but still sad, nonetheless.

After work today I stopped by the grocery store and picked up a small steak... and had my favorite dinner. I had steak, corn, and a small baked potato. Num, num! (that's because it was rainy and I didn't take the dogs for a 2 1/2 mile walk!). I've done over 7600 steps so far today... I should get on my gazelle and burn off some steps!

Tonight I've been watching "America's Got Talent" and "So You Think You Can Dance"... but I'm hoping to call it an early night again tonight. Which reminds me... when I go down to bed (and the dogs sleep on the bed with me), Peanut has decided it is her job to make sure my face/neck is clean... she licks my face until she determines it is clean, and then she'll go lay down. In the morning, sometimes she'll come lay her head across my neck in her version of a hug. Awwww... cute, huh!

Okay... signing off.

More Characters... I mean... Monkeys!

Wow... what a busy day. I think I counted that I had something like 104 pages of documentation to do for the last two days and today. WOW! I didn't get too much of it done today (I shouldn't say that... because I did write up 20 pages of documentation on 4 clients...). I had 6 appointments scheduled, but had one no show. (AND I started off the day with a meeting). i need to figure out how to lighten my schedule a little... (I guess I'm spoiled because the last couple weeks have been easier... but while I don't mind my schedule, I just can't keep up with all of the paperwork!). Oh yea... and my co-worker, as of this morning she'd had 2 appointments this week... but I think she's done better today... I think she saw 2 or 3 people today! WOW! (do you hear my sarcasm?). (Meanwhile... pray for me to have a better, less judgemental attitude!).

After work I came home and took the dogs out for a 2 1/2 mile walk (now ALL of us are tired!). I posted on my facebook something to the effect of "To be honest, after a busy/full day and a 2 1/2 mile walk with my dogs, I don't have energy to do anything else!" And I haven't been. My dinner was a scone (Blueberry almond that I made last night) and fresh strawberries with whip cream. And I'm sitting here watching "America's Got Talent." It's about 8:45pm and I hope to be in bed within an hour. So... I'll sign off.

More monkey business

Well, today was one of those crazy busy days. I tried to get a note done first thing in the morning but had a co-worker that needed help with getting online to do peer reviews, so I stopped to help her a couple times. I also got the new format for writing notes on's only 3-4 pages long (per kid). So... I have one individual note to write from yesterday and 4 notes to write for a family I saw... then today my first three appointments were couples, then I had a new couple (so... 4 appts this morning), this afternoon I had two couple appointments and 1 family of 5 (new) that I saw, (so... that one family will be 45 pages worth of notes!!! (or something like that)). Crazy, huh! One of my appointments for tomorrow stopped by to reschedule today, so I'll see them next week and then another client emailed to cancel her Friday morning appointment, so I only have 1 (contentious) couple to see on Friday. Whew! Fridays are normally my day to catch up on notes.

Tonight after I got home I made some scones... num, num! But I had a couple and over indulged tonight. And no, I haven't gotten my lab results yet.

Well... it's almost 10pm, I need to take the dogs out for one more potty break (kitchen's cleaned from all my baking mess) and then head to bed.

Monkey Mountain photos part 2

I *loved* this little 3 month old monkey!

Mama looked relaxed sitting and watching her baby up in the tree

This guy was relaxed hanging on this large boulder...

This morning I went and got some blood work done. I probably won't find out the results for a few days, but my initial CBC results came out within range, so I guess that is a good thing.

Work went okay today, I only had 3 appointments (but 5 notes to write and I only got one done). Tomorrow I have 6 appointments scheduled, and two of those are new clients, which means more paperwork and more time. I'll be earning my keep tomorrow if everyone shows up!

Right now I'm making some cookies to take into work to share tomorrow. I'm making something called "coconut wheatie" cookies. They're really good! I'm also watching "Army Wives" which is a good show if you've ever been in the military or worked with the military.

Okay... keeping it short.

Monkey Mountain and more

My trip to Monkey Mountain was delayed about an hour and a half because of this accident. I am glad that I wasn't one minute earlier otherwise I could have been involved. There were only about 4 vehicles between me and the accident in my lane. (there were at least a dozen cars/trucks altogether between me and the accident). It took awhile, but I was glad I was in Germany... those kinds of accidents in Hawaii take 3-4 hours to process and clear up. I'm not sure about the extent of the injuries. There were about 6 cop cars (Polizei) on scene (none when I arrived), then about 3-4 fire trucks showed up, at least 2 ambulances and then 3 tow trucks with cranes to lift the cars off the autobahn and then onto the bed of their trucks. I don't know the extent of the injuries, but it looked like all three cars were bashed up pretty good. I was only about 25 miles from home when I came across the accident. I debated just going back home, because I had realized I had forgotten my passport... but they don't check at the border, so that wasn't a problem.

There were hundreds of monkeys that you could get up close and personal with (we were instructed to only approach them with our hand outstretched with a flat palm and a piece of popcorn on it. I took a lot of pictures... I'll post more throughout the week.

This is probably one of my most favorite pictures that I took. It was a precious scene.

This is a picture taken of a placemat... of the Koenigsbourg Castle that I went to see after Monkey Mountain (it was only about 5 miles away from MM). I'll post more pictures of the castle that I took... but this captures the whole castle really well!

On the route down, I had my GPS set for the fastest route... I decided on the way back, I'd take the shortest route... it takes you through a lot of small towns. Monkey Mountain is in the Alsace region of France, about 36 miles (I think SW) from Strasbourg.

On the way back I was feeling crummy. I'd had my toast with peanut butter this morning... then during the accident, while waiting, I had some beef jerky and almonds. After Monkey Mountain (MM from now on)... I had some Ritz crackers with cheese, and 3-4 pieces of salami. I wasn't really hungry, probably shouldn't have eaten any more. Then when I stopped on the Germany side of the border (real close to Strasbourg) to get gas, I got some ice cream (like the nestle nips... small bite size portions of vanilla ice cream dipped in chocolate). About an hour later... I was hurriedly dumping out a food storage bag (I'd had ice in it, in my small cooler) and ended up throwing up 3-4 times on my way back. If I hadn't been gone from the dogs for a LOT longer than I had expected... I might have stopped and rested. I was just focused on getting hom. It felt like another mild pancreatic attack. UGH! I'm debating about asking my doc to put some labs in for me to get it checked tomorrow. I'll see how busy I am.

I did make it home... and I've gotten the dogs out for a walk. I think I'll head to bed (it's just after 8) and get up in the middle of the night to let the dogs out back. I *am* feeling better... I think emptying my stomach helped.

(sorry to gross you out!)

Errands and getting lost (sort of)

This morning I got up (after a net *8* hours of sleep!) and went over to pick up my boss and gave her a ride to the airport. She's going to London for a week. On my way back, I stopped by one of the local markets and picked up some fresh fruit. Num, num. The blackberries (I think that's what they are) are HUGE. So...left to right... Blackberries, plums, blueberries and strawberries. I also got some more fresh cut flowers for my dining table.

I took the dogs for a 2+ mile walk this afternoon... they are sure being lazy and want to sniff everything along the way (that's okay... I stop and pick wild blackberries along the way... some are good, some are still a little tart!). Then I came back and laid out in my hammock for an hour and a half or so, that was nice. I felt like I got some sun finally and even found myself dozing once or twice.

About six I decided to head back out for some more errands. I needed to pick up a few things at the store (and of course forgot one of the main things I went to get!). I also filled my car up with gas. Then I thought I would try to find a place they refer to as "Rubble Mountain". Apparently Stuttgart was 45% destroyed during WWII, and they took a lot of the rubble and built this mountain out of it. Anyway... I never did find it and then I ended up on the Autobahn without any place to really to turn around (I missed an exit on the way back from NOT finding it)... and then I took an exit off and ended up half way to the Black Forest... I couldn't win for nothing! I FINALLY made it back to the REAL (re-al) store just before they closed at 10pm (so I could drop off my plastic bottles). It was almost 10:30pm before I got home and now it's 11:30pm.

I'd better sign off... I'm thinking about going to Monkey Mountain (a Monkey preserve, it is a wildlife park is home to approximately 300 Barbary Macaques from all around the world) in the morning... I'll see what the weather looks like and then make my decision (I think it is supposed to rain here). Monkey Mountain is over on the other side of Strasbourg, France.

I know why they call it FRI day...

This is a tree that is out in the field where I walk the dogs. I like it. I took it a few days ago.

Well... I *did* manage to get all my documentation for the past two days done this morning (only had to write about 70 pages worth of notes... WHEW!). I got to go join the rest of our clinic for their "FUN" day about noon (everyone else was supposed to go at 9am, although I have to say, my boss and my other co-worker didn't show up until after 1pm.

I had another "shake your head" kind of moments with my one co-worker this morning. Mind you, we start off our Fridays with a meeting and I was complaining about how much work I had to do this morning and how many notes I had to write. She chimes in and says "Yea, I have a LOT of notes to get written too!" Well... yesterday when I looked at our schedules, I had 25 contacts, she had 7. Let me understand this... you are SO overwhelmed with work, huh! And she doesn't have to write 5 pages of notes for every client, for every contact (And she was shopping when she apparently had a client waiting the other day at 3pm!). Anyway... this morning I am diligently plugging away at the notes and she saunters by to go get some ice. As she went by, she said she had sent a "tear jerker" email to my Gmail account. Oh okay. Well, about 10 minutes later when she saunters back from getting her ice, she asked me if I had read it... (No... I am actually DOING my work... not emailing, reading Facebook, etc). I told her I probably wouldn't get the chance to read it until I got home tonight. I did read it and it was one that I had seen before and yes, it is a tear-jerker of a story.

Anyway... I'm glad it's FRI day... cuz this week I'm feeling a little FRIed! (That's why they call it Friday, because by the end of the week you are FRIED!).

And I don't have any plans for the weekend. On one hand I'm trying to conserve my money right now, so that limits how much I can do... on the other hand... I don't want to have to deal with getting a dog sitter for the weekend. I could have taken them with me and gone someplace, but if I wanted to go into a store or something, I can't really leave them in the car (it gets too warm). So... no plans for the weekend, other than tomorrow morning I'm going to pick up my boss and take her over to the airport. She's flying to London and will be gone for a week.

Okay... time to sign off... it's about 10:15pm and I am tired.

Super busy Thursday

The doggies enjoyed their walk... but Bruno has a weird smile or whatever it is...

Taking a short break on our walk. It took us about 45 minutes to walk 1 mile. The doggies wanted to stop and smell a LOT of roses (or whatever) along the way!

Work WAS very busy today. I had 5 appointments (1 no show), I met with one of my co-workers that I share a family with (we both see members of the family), and I had a bridal shower to attend (at lunch time). I got up early and baked chocolate chip cookies to take in. I did get a *couple* notes written today, but tomorrow morning I think I'm expected to write 13 notes in an hour and a half (yea... like THAT is going to happen!). Not sure how I'll handle tomorrow because I *really* don't want to go back into work again this weekend! ARGH!

Looks like I will be dog-sitting "Jack" over Labor Day weekend. I can't watch Bennett because he needs shots and that's not something I can do (those who know me... know that about me!). But, if I watch Jack, at least she will only have to pay for 1 dog sitter. Jack had an eye removed a couple weeks ago and is still healing. Hope the dogs are patient with him while he is here (if he does indeed come).

Okay... signing off...

Life is short...

On this path of life we encounter many people... some we love, some we don't like, possibly even hate. We encounter people who have enriched our lives, in one way or another, even if it was just to bring a smile to our face. I think back on some of the people I've lost in my life... tomorrow is the anniversary of my Mom's death... my friends Walt & Bette lost their son to a motorcycle accident a couple months ago, a friend lost her step-son today (he was hit by a Semi-truck while on a sidewalk riding his bicycle). I am really feeling sad for my friend Tracy, it was her step-son that died today (well, yesterday in Alaska, it happened in North Pole). Tracy & her husband (the boy's father) were involved in a fatal accident in Sept 2005 and Jim (the boy's father) was killed in that accident. I'm sure Tracy is having a rough time of it today. Please keep her in your prayers. And please keep his friends in your prayers, my oldest daughter tells me that the boy killed had a good friend who's birthday was the same day. What a horrible thing, to find out your good friend was killed on your birthday. Sad.

*I'm* doing alright. Work wasn't too busy, but busy enough that I couldn't get caught up on my notes. And tomorrow will be VERY difficult as I have 6 appointments scheduled, and I think that means about 10 notes for tomorrow (one or two are individual apointments). The work never ends. I got an email from the Psychiatrist in charge of our clinic and he apparently tracks our workload. Depending on what kind appointments you have, determines your session unit value. Anyway, if I understand the printout okay, my average workload for July was 130%!!! What the HECK???? See... I *knew* I worked hard! I emailed the Psychiatrist and told him it must be the Psychiatrist in me, I don't care about the numbers, I just care that I do a good job and get my work done. *smiles* That's the important thing, right? Speaking of which... if any of you have a working magic wand... I could use it. I needed it for a couple I saw today. ARGH!

Okay... I'm going to sign off... it's 9:30pm and I'm making Chocolate chip cookies for another potluck tomorrow (we are having a bridal shower for a co-worker).

Auf Wiedersehen... and if I haven't told you lately... THANK YOU for being a part of MY life and coming alongside me for this part of my journey.

The work never ends...

This reminds me of Alaskan fireweed (It *may* be the same flower). My daughter in Alaska says that the height of the Alaskan fireweed is indicative of the amount of expected snowfall. In addition, when the flower reaches the top, then winter is 6 weeks away.

Work went okay today, I had an unexpected session with a couple who I did not have on my schedule (not sure who scheduled the appointment), that went fine though. Altogether I have about 11 -12 notes to write between yesterday and today. I was going to bring it home, but I forgot my notes. I *did* bring home some assessments and got 3 written tonight (they take an average of 45 minutes). Oh well. That's what I mean about the "work never ends." As it is I didn't leave until 5pm (and I've been getting to work by about 7:15am in the morning).

On another note, I think I mentioned that our medical social worker is leaving... I put a bug in her boss' ear that I was interested in the position. Who knows... maybe it will pan out, but it will be several months before it even thinks about coming to fruition.

Okay... it's 9pm, I'm going to sign off...

It's another Monday...

Flowers in the neighborhood...

Work was fairly busy today. I had four appointments and finished up 3 notes from last week and did a couple assessments (that's a full day for me) in addition to having a staff meeting. It was another hot day today, up in the 90's. I wish I were off to enjoy more of it. But... it is what it is.

I just took the dogs for a short walk after work (they are waiting for me to take them back out now). Tonight I've just been watching one of my favorite show and I've gotten *ONE* assessment written tonight.

Okay... another short post... I'll sign off.

Sunny Sunday too... BUT...

This was around 6pm tonight (obviously I haven't changed the battery yet! LOL!)

These are some flowers I bought a couple weeks ago, they are finally blossoming! HOORAY!

Well, I got up this morning and made myself some French toast. I haven't had that in forever! It was a good change.

I left about 10:30am to head into work for a couple hours... yea, right, didn't leave work until about 4:30pm and didn't hardly make a dent in the paperwork. I stopped by the American grocery store on the way home and picked up a couple things (needed napkins and laundry detergent among other things), I decided to treat myself to a steak for dinner (and of course the dogs got a couple bites as well).

Other than that, had a short walk with the dogs (and forgot my fitbit on it's base attached to the computer this morning... so no credit for the majority of walking I did today... darn!). I swept off my back patio and then called one of my older brothers, he turned 60 today. We talked for over a half hour, I don't think I've talked to him since I've been in Germany! I also called my older sister to chat for a little bit... haven't talked to her in awhile either.

Okay... it's almost 9pm and I want to get the dogs out before it gets any darker.

Sunny Saturday!

I need to put a new battery in my thermometer, because I actually took this picture about 5:30 this evening.

Lots of apples out in the orchards... these are about a block from where I live.

Sunset photo from tonight...

Another sunset photo, taken from the cover of an apple tree...

Well... I'm beginning to think my life is boring lately... didn't do much today. Some chores, some errands (I went and saw some of my co-workers who had a booth at a flea market) and then I came back home and laid in my hammock a little bit. (The dogs don't like me laying there because they want to be by me and they can't in the hammock (well, they *could* but then we all get too warm!), and it was pretty warm outside today). I only laid in the hammock about an hour. I leave the back door open and have to keep an eye on the dogs so that they don't end up visiting the neighbors.

I took the dogs for a few walks today, the longest one was tonight, but that was only about an hour. I guess a lot of other people had the same idea, because we encountered about a dozen dogs along the way. Oh yea... and the huckleberries (or whatever kind they are) are getting ripe! num, num.

Okay... signing off.

Dog Days of Summer

Bruno wasn't too sure about these large glasses on his head! LOL!

At least the glasses seem to fit Peanut better! *smiles*

A beautiful sunset at the end of the day...

Work went okay today, seemed busy, the time flew by. We had a meeting at lunchtime to recognize some new employees and some employees that are leaving. (Darn! Where was the cake???). After work I had to stop and get some gas before coming home. I took the dogs for a short walk, but it was around 90* out, so I didn't want to stay out in the sun too long (I had my work clothes on) and I didn't want to keep them out in the heat too long. I did get to lay in my hammock for a little bit... the only problem with laying in the hammock, is that my dogs want to be right on top of me... and they block my ability to even think about tanning a little bit. I took the sunglass pictures of them while we were on the hammock this evening.

No real plans for the weekend, I'm on call again. My guess/hope is that there will be some house-cleaning and I *may* try to go into work for a little bit, since I cannot seem to catch up on my paperwork. I didn't even get my daily notes finished today (for this week). YIKES!

Okay... signing off!

Typical Thursday?

This is a produce market that I've stopped at a couple times down in the Black Forest (I stop on my way back). This last time I got some awesome flavorful blueberries and strawberries.

Work went rather typical, other than we had a potluck at lunchtime. I made meatballs in barbeque sauce, they were quite the hit (and even *I* think they tasted good!). I think the potluck went okay overall.

I found out that the one Social Worker at the main clinic is apparently leaving. I don't know when yet, but hopefully they will refill it and if it is a higher pay range than I am now, I'd like to apply for it. And I know a couple people at the main clinic will advocate for me to get the position. So... who knows. That would be neat! I won't get my hopes up (and it'll probably take a good 6 months anyway).

Okay... not much else going on today. Tomorrow night I go on-call... (fun).

Happy Hump Day!

A flower pic from this past weekend (I think it really is a weed, but it's pretty).

Average day at work, nothing too out of the ordinary. We started off the day with a meeting. I had gotten up a little earlier this morning to bake some Almond Blueberry scones... man, were they good! I made up the dough last night and cut them up and put them on cookie sheets, then wrapped them up with some saran wrap and put them in the fridge untilt his morning. Other than that, I had a new client (couple) come in today and the overall day passed fairly fast. So, I guess that's good.

Tomorrow we have a potluck at lunchtime because someone is leaving. I'm making barbequed meatballs (meatballs in barbeque sauce). Usually our potlucks are just for our building, but tomorrow we are doing it with the whole clinic, so there will be a LOT more people there.

Have I mentioned that the road I normally take is closed down for construction (for a little over a month!)? Yep. I have to drive an extra 4 miles now. BUT... the good news is that it doesn't take any longer, in fact, so far it has taken probably about 5 minutes LESS time! I've been giving my neighbor a ride (last week and this week), it's nice to be able to help them out. Their kids are involved in a couple different sports.

After work I did a little grocery shopping before hurrying home to take the dogs out for a short walk. We only did a short one because it was over 90* outside. I was wishing I were home early to lay out in the sun. Alas... that didn't happen. I did lay in my hammock for a little bit... no tanning there though... because the dogs want to be up on my tummy!

Okay... signing off.

Num, Num... Home-made Blueberry Scones

This was the entrance to the Barefoot Park.

Work went okay today. I got my application submitted for a possible student loan repayment. I still owe about $8,000 and they are awarding 20 - $5,000 loan repayments. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed, because that would mean my student loans would be paid off within a year!

Tonight I made blueberry scones. I haven't made them in forever! We have a staff meeting in the morning, so I thought it would be nice to take some fresh baked scones in. I made them with artificial sugar because I have one co-worker who doesn't do sugar. (See, aren't I such a nice person?). I did take the dogs for a short walk after work, we did about 45 minutes of walking (SLOWLY... because they wanted to stop and sniff at EVERYTHING).

Okay... another short post for today...

More Barefoot park pics

Walking on glass..

A close up of the glass

Walking on a wood path...

Sure had fun yesterday...

It was back to work today... which wasn't too busy thankfully. I got a new laptop at work (we are switching from desktops to laptops for portability purposes). My one co-worker called in sick today, she's the one with the sick, aging doggy. My boss was gone to a meeting for a part of the day... so it was quiet today.

My fitbit finally went belly up, thankfully I ordered a new one about a month ago. My current fitbit will light up to charge and it will tell me how many steps I've done, but it won't sync to my computer (and it isn't the the base unit that attaches to the computer). The new fitbit is more enhanced and it will tell you how many flights of stairs you have climbed.

Okay... I'm going to keep this short... it's about 8:30pm. I'm watching "Coming Home" about soldiers that are reunited with their families.

Barefoot park day

Walking through thick mud

I got to jump on a trampoline today!

We left a little after 9 this morning and headed down to "Barefoot Park" in the Black Forest. (My neighbors and I). We met up with a couple of Tamie's co-workers and their families once we got there. We walked on all kinds of surfaces, paved, gravel, water, sand, small shells, glass, wood, bark, moss, and a whole bunch more. We were at the park for a couple hours. After the park we went on down the road to find a place to have a picnic (we had all brought lunches with us) and then from there we went our separate ways. Tamie's daughter Tia went with her friend's family (one of the families with us today), so Tamie, Curt, Trevor and I headed down to Triberg (also in the Black Forest). They had never been there before. We had a good time climbing around the waterfall area, I took a lot of great photos of Tamie & family *smiles*.

I've been uploading some of the photos to Facebook and it has been taking a long time... so I'm going to keep this short tonight. It is already almost 10pm (we did pass a couple accidents on the way home, only one slowed traffic down significantly).

Busy Saturday

This is a monastery or something (guess I should take the time to find out), it's only about 3 miles from where I live.

So... I got up this morning and took my old yellow car in for an oil change (and had the check the fluid levels and check the tire pressures). And I bought a used metal coat "tree" to hang my scarves on.

The day was basically spent running errands (dropped off my recyclable plastics, got gas, got my nails done, did a little bit of shopping) and doing some housework.

Tomorrow I'm heading to a "Barefoot" park with my neighbor and some of her co-workers (and her kids). Here's a link... not sure which one we are going to... but we're going to have a picnic as well.

Okay... I'm going to keep this short and head to be shortly.

Pau Hana Friday time!

Bruno checking out the weeds

Peanut in the grass

The end of the day in Germany...

Obviously this was taken before the previous photo... but it WAS a nice sunset, with nice temps.

Work went fine today, this morning was pretty much spent in meetings and then I went out for Thai food with a lot of my co-workers. After work I devoted my time to trying to do my notes in the new format. I cannot believe we are expected to do a 5 page note for EVERY client we see. What the heck? I guess I'll have to allow more time for paperwork and less time for clients?

Not much going on tonight... I've been napping a little and messing on the computer. Now it is WAY past my bedtime. And tomorrow morning I have to be up so I can take my car in for an oil change.

Heading to bed!

Auf Wiedersehen!
