So, here are some pictures from the Szechenyi Bath in Budapest. It was a neat place, I think they claim to have 18 pools there (I didn't go into all of them and I definitely avoided the ones with COLD water!). Of course, if you know me... you know I *love* the water... so I was right at home!
Today was back to work. I'm still dealing with this head cold, today my right ear seems to be affected. I don't feel like I've been coughing as much today, so that is probably a good thing.
I had five appointments scheduled, but one was a no-show. I had one *new* appointment today and those always take a little longer. My 2 co-workers were out all afternoon at a meeting (but there were other providers there, that work in the same hallway).
After work I had to stop and get some gas, then I did a little grocery shopping. Here at home I've just been watching a little TV and also trying to talk a friend into applying for a job overseas. I don't know if it is so much trying to talk her into it, but providing her encouragement and support as she considers applying for a job. She's a teacher, she teaches Middle School kids (but has been thinking about switching to HS). She doesn't have any kids, so I'm, of course, telling her to go for it!
Oh yea... at lunchtime today I was reading a little in my book that I mentioned last night -
The Pilgrimage" by Paulo Coelho. I came across an interesting passage.
The Pilgrimage" by Paulo Coelho. I came across an interesting passage.
"When you travel, you experience, in a very practical way, the act of rebirth. You confront completely new situations, the day passes more slowly, and on most journeys you don't even understand the language the people speak. So you are like a child just out of the womb. You begin to be more accessible to others because they may be able to help you in difficult situations. And you accept any small favor from the gods with great delight, as if it were an episode you would remember the rest of your life. At the same time, since all things are new, you see only the beauty in them, and you feel happy to be alive..."
I like that concept. *smiles*
Auf Wiedersehen!
