So, I *did* make it back from Budapest okay, no problems with the flight. I ran into one of our interns from the Optometry clinic, so got to talk with her for a bit on the way back.
Overall, I enjoyed Budapest, but it wasn't as exciting as I had hoped. There were definitely parts of the city I enjoyed (i.e. the Thermal Baths!), but it wasn't really one of those cities that I say "oooooohhhh! I've got to come back here!" (Like, I'd really like to go back to Istanbul someday!).
I'm going to keep this short... I'm tired, I stayed up way too late last night reading, (but it was a good book, I read "Transfer of Power" by Vince Flynn). I've got another book of his to read. He's written a bunch of books. Then, today at the airport in Budapest, I picked up a new book, it's by a guy named Paulo Coelho. The book is titled "The Pilgrimage." It's about a guy's pilgrimage on a trail that goes across northern Spain. It was a pilgrimage many early Christians took and many people still do that trail today (I think it's just over 700 kilometers). The guy wrote another book called the Alchemist, which I hope to read as well, if I like this book.
Okay... signing off. More pictures to follow this week.
