Houses of Rothenburg...

I thought I would post a few pictures of some of the houses of Rothenburg. This bottom one was one of my favorites with the vines growing up the side of the house. All of the houses have a lot of character there.
Work went okay, I only had a couple appointments. Still dealing with a marital issues involving one of my clients (pray it all works out for them).
After work I went and got my nails done, I wish I could just keep them out of my mouth (I'm a horrible nail biter).
Not much to write about today. I didn't get home until about 8pm, so it's already about 9:30pm and I need to take the dogs out for their bedtime walk (I did come home at lunchtime and took them out then, because I knew I would be home late). Tomorrow after work I might go to the local Volksmarching club meeting (and join the club). I'd like to start doing at least one volksmarch a month if not a couple a month. Tomorrow after work I start my week of being "on-call." Hopefully it will be a quiet week.
Okay... signing off.

The Western old City gate
The water was frozen in the moat

The clock is mounted in the Ratstrinkstube building, and it re-enacts the historic "meistertrunk" daily. The meistertrunk commemorates the event in 1631 when the walled town was under siege from the Imperial forces of Count Tilly. On a lark, Count Tilly told the city that he would spare them if anyone could drink a tankard containing about six pints of wine in one draught. Mayor Nusch took the challenge successfully, and the city was saved. The clock re-enacts the event hourly from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.. Rothenburg celebrates this rescue each year on Whitsun with a festival performance, grand army march and a field camp.

The City Hall
The stone entrance to the old Rothenburg Medieval town that I went through on my first trip into the old town on Saturday. I think this is the East Gate.
Thought I'd post some pictures from Rothenburg... maybe I should have just done all gates in this post? Oh well.
Rothenburg has been inhabited for over 2,500 years. It has survived wars, plagues, earthquakes, reformations and wars. This Bavarian Castle town has not changed in the last 300 years--laws have been passed to preserve its medieval charm. The town's name translates to "Red fortress above the Tauber".
So... today has been a relatively quiet day... Got up about 9am, took the dogs out for a walk, got some breakfast and then did some chores around the house and laid down this afternoon for a nap. I took the dogs back out late afternoon for a walk and haven't done much else. Surfing the web, reading a book, etc. I did find the final puzzle EDGE piece, so now I need to start on the inside... yikes! It's intimidating!
Okay... signing off for today. It's almost 8pm and I need to finish up some laundry, run the dishwasher, etc.

Rothenburg Ob Der Tauber

So... I survived the Volksmarch at Rothenburg today. I did the 11k through the Old Town. They had 21, 11 and 6 k walks. I don't think I got any blisters, but my feet are sore! It was great day and there was beautiful weather! I'll post more pictures later this week (or if you can find me on Facebook, I think I just uploaded about 170 photos from Rothenburg).
It's after midnight... past my bedtime, so I'm going to sign off and head to bed.

It's a puzzling night! *smiles*

I found a few more pieces after this picture was taken, the bottom and one side are done.
So... here's what my 2000 piece puzzle looks like so far. I think I just need to find one more piece to finish the edge!

Work went fine today, no clients, just paperwork and phone calls. I asked my supervisor this afternoon if there was anything I could do to help her... she said no, but then a mom called wanting counseling for her children, so my boss gave it to me to call and set up an appt (I'm surprised she didn't give it to my one female co-worker who has the least amount of work, but alas, it's okay).
Tomorrow I'm going on a Volksmarch with the local Stuttgart Volksmarching club. I haven't decided if I am doing the 11k or the 6k. My friends David & Carol are going as well as one of my co-workers (the male). Should be fun. it's up in Rothenburg.
Okay... signing off for tonight.

short post...

This is my friend Andrea and I, taken this past weekend.

So... work was relatively busy today, my supervisor, my male co-worker and I all had 3-4 appointments, that's fine except there are only two meeting rooms (we can meet in our office, but our offices aren't really conducive to meeting with clients). Oh well. And I didn't leave til 5, but neither did my male co-worker or my supervisor.

Tonight I've just been chilling, got a fire going in the wood stove, I've done a little work on my puzzle, I've been playing games on the computer and I'm hoping to be heading to bed by about 9 tonight. I've had 2-3 nights where I've been up to almost 11pm. I did finish my Robin Cook... book "The Marker" today, so I've downloaded a couple more to read.
Okay... I'm going to sign off. I'm online with my friend Andrea, she's thinking about getting a couple dogs (I offerred to do a monthly exchange with my two dogs! *smiles*).
Aloha (still seems like I should be saying that)...

Relaxing evening...

These were sunrise pictures from this morning. I had to take a slight detour due to an accident, so pulled over to take these two pictures. They don't do justice to how red the sunrise was though!

This was tonight's sunset... and again, this camera doesn't do justice for what I was seeing... see that spot to the left? It was almost like it was a smaller sun! It was really cool. (I was out walking the dogs after work).

So... short post tonight. Work was okay today, I had two couples and 1 individual session today. Got questioned about whether I trust one of my co-workers (I think I was evasive on that answer, because I'm NOT sure I can trust her...). Also found out that my pay was screwed up (time entry error on the data entry person who is a VERY busy person, apparently this is only her 2nd mistake in a year). Anyway, instead of getting 2 hours of overtime, apparently they paid me for *26* hours of overtime (And my pay is sufficiently screwed up that I still don't know what an average pay day for me will be... and it looks like it will now be screwed up for another month!). But, at least we found out about the problem before I spent it on something (i.e. something for the house)... so I will just need to adjust for it. It should all work out in the end.
Tonight I've just been working on my puzzle (I almost have the outer edge completed) and I'm reading a book by Robin Cook "Marker." I like Robin Cook. This one is very similar to the last one I read though, even has the same characters.

My living room breaker keeps popping (ever since my company was here this weekend, I think on Monday Vince switched some plugs around and try as I might, I can't seem to isolate the problem (I thought I had last night and was able to watch TV for about 2 hours before it popped), tonight I flipped the switch and it took about 30 seconds to pop, so I left it off (I have the kitchen lights on and I'm doing my puzzle on my kitchen counter... at least it is big enough... it's kind of the breakfast bar section). I was going to go next door and talk to my neighbor about it (he's kind of the handyman for my landlord), but it looks like Franco and Carmen are out for their Wednesday night bowling. I'll catch them tomorrow.

Okay... gotta scoot... it's 10:15 and I still need to walk the dog. Oh yea, and good news! My youngest daughter is moving out of her small apartment into a duplex next to my younger sister. It'll be good to have them next door to each other in case either needs help. And I think it will be a better location for my daughter and granddaughter.

Productive evening...

Scary mask from the Fasching parade...

So, I've had a VERY productive evening. After work I stopped by the store and bought one of those tri-fold poster things, (that a kid might use for a science project or display). I wanted something to put my new puzzle on that I got the other day (It is a winter scene of Neuschwanstein, it'll be the first puzzle I've probably put together in 20 years!). Then I stopped by a car wash (do it yourself kind) and hosed down my car - it was looking pretty dirty! I came home and I've done about 3 loads of laundry (bedding from the company I had this past weekend). I took one set of the sheets and went back upstairs and made up the guest bed (its ready for company again!). I unloaded the dishwasher, cleaned out my wood stove (and cleaned the glass front), took the dogs out for a walk, made dinner (leftover speghetti), sorted out puzzle pieces (and I've started on the edge), and I've made chocolate chip cookies! Busy, huh!
Work went okay, just had two appts. I'm supposed to have 2-3 tomorrow, but I heard one couple might have to reschedule because the husband was involved in a car accident that damaged their only car pretty bad. Guess time will tell.

Okay, I'm going to sign off... it's already 9:30 and I still need to take the dogs out.

Awww... is the weekend REALLY over?

So, we had another good day today. Vince made breakfast this morning. It snowed overnight and we got about an inch & a half of snow and my kind neighbor shoveled my sidewalk, so I decided to pay it forward and I shoveled the neighbor's on the other side of me (that has the corner, so I had to go all the way around the corner).
Vince, Andrea and I, and the kids went to the "Ritter Sport" factory this morning and bought too much chocolate and then had hot chocolate in the restaurant. They steam the milk and put a quarter of a chocolate bar in the bottom of the cup, then you stir it in and melt the chocolate. It made good hot chocolate!

Then this afternoon we went and did a little shopping. They left about 4pm to head back to Wiesbaden. I swept a little and threw a load of laundry in and then went over to my friend's Dave & Carol's for dinner and spent a couple hours with them. It's good to see them. I miss seeing them as much as I did in the hotel!
Okay, it's after 10 and I still need to take the dogs out for a walk before I go to bed, so I'll sign off.

Tubingen Fasching Parade...

Vince & Andrea, me and their four kids
Silly me!

Some participants in the parade... (there were 72 groups that participated)

One of my favorite pictures... this mask was hanging from a participant's waist as they waited for the parade to start...

The Barnharts as we get ready to head over to the parade route...
So, we had a great time. It was a little cold and rained/snowed off and on (but not enough to stick). It was a long parade. Fasching parades are like Mardi Gras, parade participants and viewers wear masks and costumes. It gets pretty rowdy at times, in fact at one point, a guy in the parade decided to rough up a participant and some girls got knocked into a baby in a baby stroller. Then, another group was walking along and all of a sudden decided to dog-pile on one of their group members on the cobblestone road. THAT had to hurt, I think there were at least 10 people on top of the guy (I presume it was a guy).
It was interesting to see the various masks that people wore. (If you find me on facebook, I posted more than 150 pictures).

We got down there about 12:30, it took awhile to find a place to park, we ended up parking about a 1/2 mile away (if not a mile) and walking back to the parade route. The parade started at 1:30 and then it got over about 4pm. We came home and Vince made Speghetti (Andrea and I went over and picked up another can of speghetti sauce and some garlic bread and a couple other things). Tomorrow we are going to the Ritter Sport factory, mmmm! Anyway, tonight we just had dinner and then watched the movie "What about Bob" (one of the movies we thought the kids could watch, I forgot that there was cussing in a couple places). Now it's 10pm and about time to take the dogs out for another walk and head to bed.

Saturday, February 19, 2011

So... I stayed up last night until 2am and slept until about 10am before the dogs decided they needed to get up. I did a little more cleaning, a little more laundry and then this afternoon I went to the store to pick up some more food and I also bought a comforter, because I realized that just having the one blanket for the "blow up" bed. So, I bought a sheet set with a coordinating bedspread. I had already made up the "blow up" bed so I didn't put the new sheets on, I'll save them for the next time.
Vince & Andrea got here about 7pm and we visited for a little bit and then we were going to go to my favorite Italian restaurant, but they were full with reservations and such, so we ended up going to a Thai restaurant. It's neat having them here. They have six kids now, the oldest two are in the States, so they brought the youngest four down with them. So... Vince & Andrea have the one bedroom, the youngest three (Ephram, Noah & Sophia) have the other bedroom (Ephram is in the sleeping bag) and then Ammon is going to sleep on the couch. So... all are settling in now. It's 10:30pm and I need to be taking the dogs out for their walk soon, so I'd better sign off.

I am SO glad it is Friday and I have a three-day weekend. I had two appointments this morning (but saw 5 people in those 2 appointments). There was a little more "drama" today. This afternoon I was in my office minding my own business (okay... talking on the phone, doing my documentation, etc) and my co-workers decided I was being too quiet, so they popped their head in and my female co-worker mentioned that the husband of one of my clients stopped by at lunchtime (she had seem them together for marital counseling) and did I know he had come in? No. But, she implied that she had met with him over lunch with one of our Psychologists (who has also worked with the husband). So, later this afternoon I had to talk with the Psychologist about another issue and asked about the client coming in, he said the guy came in about 11:30 and that he was only there about 10 minutes.

Now, we are given explicit instructions that if one of us is with a client, someone HAS to stay (basically for safety reasons). I had been told that my female co-worker had left for lunch (I was told this about 11:45) when two other co-workers were heading out to lunch. I waited for my male co-worker to finish his appointment, and then because I was writing a letter, I didn't leave until about 12:20. When I got back from lunch at 1, about 1:15 I asked if the female co-worker was back (it didn't look like she was). Anyway, then it was a little later she implied that she worked through lunch meeting with the one husband/client. Yea. Right. Drama. Petty Drama.
Other than that, the day was okay. I have been really lazy since getting home, haven't done much. Although I need to get busy because it looks like my friends (that I knew in AK and that are living here now) might be coming down tomorrow and spending TWO nights here! In fact, she just sent me a message saying that they will be down about dinnertime!
SO... I guess I should sweep and mop, and maybe get the "blow-up" bed put into the extra spare room upstairs, I also need to do some laundry. I did sort through a couple more boxes tonight (still missing some silverware???? And I haven't found the "gate" fob (remote control) for my apartment in Hawaii that apparently accidentally got shipped. I have boxes to go through in the basement yet, in the one storage room. I also need to be thinking about putting some clothes away (something I've been procrastinating about).
Okay... signing off.

Thursday, February 17, 2011

Okay,,, short post.. (okay... maybe NOT so short! LOL!)

So... a fairly busy day at work, started off with a meeting and I had four appointments (wow... a "rush" LOL!). Also had a meeting with my supervisor, apparently she's upset that I am "soliciting" work from the other half of our clinic, (they are getting too busy and we have PLENTY of time for clients in our office (i.e. one of my co-workers only has an average of 1 appointment per day)). Anyway... she didn't like the fact that I was trying to drum up work (even though I'm SUPPOSED to be doing that... building up my clientele). I was a little peeved about it. She indicated she had heard it from more than one source, but while I have made it clear that I am available and trying to increase my workload, I've also said that the referrals have to be routed through my supervisor. One of my co-workers (a Psychologist) jokingly came over the other day and said he had 35 cases to give me (an arbitrary number, he was joking) and I think the one co-worker who doesn't see many clients must have thought he was serious and said something to my supervisor. My irritation is that, I get the impression that the particular co-worker who only sees an average of 1 patient a day, is a "one-hit wonder" as I like to refer to them. People who clients only come into see 1 time and don't return (for whatever reason, but usually because the therapist isn't able to establish that rapport). Well, maybe she's a 2-hit wonder (at least one of my couples saw her 2x). The other issue is that my hours are audited, and because of the nature of the work of the three others I'm in the office with, they don't have to count their hours. (I do). So I see that as a big issue. And when I hear them talk about my predecessor (who wasn't always very busy it sounds), it's like "we always wondered what she did in her office" (probably what they do... surf the web, respond to emails, buy stuff online, look at travel options, etc). Who knows.
So... interesting different kind of challenge in this office. Tomorrow is a holiday for about half the clinic (so they are doing a liberal leave day for people to take a four day weekend). I'm working, I have a couple families coming in tomorrow morning (and in the afternoon I've got to focus on documentation and paperwork stuff). I probably could have asked for the day off, but at this point I'm just trying to build up my leave. (I think I am up to 3 weeks now).
Other than that, tonight I went to a promotion party for a co-worker. This particular doc was up in Alaska after I left there, but we have a mutual friend. A friend of mine (the ones that live up in Wiesbaden), used to be this co-worker's senior rater (and has nothing but good things to say about him).
I took in Oatmeal cookies today, about half the co-workers loved them, and the other half are trying hard not to eat sweets. I'm glad at least SOME people liked them (I make GOOD oatmeal cookies).
Okay... I need to sign off. I've been up late too many nights this week. It's already 10:15 and I still need to walk the dogs.

Busy evening...

So, I've had a busy evening. I made Oatmeal cookies, I put together a China cabinet (see above), I unpacked my "Friendly Village" dishes (YAY! They all made it okay, but I'm still missing some of my good Pewter Silverware). I have also gone through every box that was is in the upstairs bedroom (haven't unpacked it all, but I've gone through it enough to know whether I need to unpack it at the moment). So... it's been a busy evening!
Today at work went okay, I only had one appointment. People were freaking out because they thought a disgruntled husband of a client might come in and become violent (he didn't but we did get him a risk assessment). Tomorrow will be busier, I'm scheduled for 4 appointments.
Okay... I'm going to sign off and try to call a former co-worker in Hawaii for a couple minutes. And it's already 10pm! Ugh!

Holzgerligen Owls

Sorry... this photo is a little blurry, I took it while driving (no comment)
I should have zoomed in on this one... I took it while I was driving too (but you can get an idea about how big some of these are!)

Okay... so these two turned out the best because I was stopped. I like how they have painted the owls. It reminds me of the painted cows Michelle & I saw in Rome last year. Not sure what the intent is behind the painting of the various species. I was back over in Holzgerligen after work so that I could swap out Peanut's coat for a slightly larger coat (and to pay for them).
Today was interesting at work. I have one wife who is ready to leave her marriage because it seems to be deteriorating rapidly. And then I had a young adult with some serious issues, but I cannot really talk to anyone where I work, because they know the person and it would be a breach of confidentiality and a breach of trust. BUT I do feel like I'm in an awkward situation (and I can't even go talk to my boss about it). So... prayers for that one please!

Okay, I'm going to sign off and see if I can't get something done around the house (I've got several projects to work on (i.e. breaking down all the boxes I've unpacked). (And dealing with Peanut licking my face as I try to type! LOL!).

Another beautiful sunset...

After work today I went over to Holzgerligen to check out the Pet store there. I was wanting to buy the dogs new winter jackets and I found some new ones. I like that they are "reflective."
And, as I was driving in Holzgerligen going to the Pet store, I had to pull over to take some pictures of the red sunset... it was beautiful! See... you can find beauty ANYWHERE in the world, if you just look for it!
So... quiet day at work. I had a staff meeting this morning and only had two appointments this afternoon. One was with a teenager, it wasn't clear that she wanted to be there, initially had asked to come, but then her Mom said that because of things going on in her life, she should come. I was happy at the end of the session when she was willing to come back "but not every week." *smiles*
Good news... bad news... My car is FINALLY fixed! Bad news... I'm out about another $500! (So, I've spent another $1,000 on the car since I've gotten here... that probably means I should have sold it in Hawaii and I'd have been about $3,000 less in debt due to the car!). At least it seems to be running good at the moment, I hope it lasts for awhile!
Okay... signing off.

P.S. I just found out that some friends I used to have in Alaska, that are now here in Germany (a few hours north) might be coming down to see me this weekend! YEA!!!! I hope it works out!

Longer weekend needed... *smiles*

I had to hem the curtains I bought for the bedroom, so I got that done today and got the curtains hung.
My new bedspread ensemble. I went to wash my (favorite) bedspread (the Hawaiian pineapple one) and my German washer is too small to handle it. SO... I decided I needed to have two sets of bedding so I can switch them out. I washed my bedding today (one load took 3 hours to wash! I amazed with all the German technology, how long it takes to get wash done here!). I can take my bedspread into a laundromat near where I work and wash it there. I am kicking myself for not taking my flokati rug to be washed before I left Hawaii (it needed cleaning)... and now I don't have a clue where I'm going to be able to wash it here (maybe someone at work will know).
So... today has been a fairly lazy one. I stayed up til 2am, then didn't get up until about 10am (the dogs are getting better about letting me sleep in, especially when I take them out right before going to bed). I got up and had a bite to eat, then laid down on the couch with the pups and took a short nap. Then I got up and unpacked a couple boxes in my bedroom, then after messing around on the computer for awhile, I decided to take the dogs for a short ride. We went to see where the pet store in the next town is located, and then we went to find the town of Weil im Shonbuck (its an older town than what I live in), then I took them to the military base so I could pick up the comforter set (in the picture above), from there I went to the Commissary and did some shopping (I have enough to last me a couple weeks).

We didn't get back home until about 7 and I had a bite to eat and I got my bed made.
Now it's after 8pm and I'm not sure I have any more energy to tackle any more chores tonight (I still have laundry going), I'm watching National Geographic on TVand catching up on my email and facebook.
So... I'm going to sign off...

YEA it's Saturday!

So... first... the photos. I bought two CD towers tonight at IKEA and got them put together. I'm trying to decide how I like them framing the TV. Or shall I put two on one side or the other? I think I still have a few more CD's somewhere (i.e. I had about a dozen in my car from when I did the roadtrip to Brussels a couple weeks ago).
Other than that, I took it easy this morning, putzing around the house, straightening more stuff up and doing laundry and stuff like that. Then after taking the dogs for a walk, I came back and went to look at one of the furniture stores, the woman there was not helpful at all (otherwise I might have bought a twin mattress set & rails, along with a couple other things to have delivered, but as it was, I walked out of there without anything). Then I had to stop for some gas (I pay about $3.50 a gallon right now), from there it was on to get my nails done (and I've already messed one up tonight... grrrr!). From there I wandered around the store a bit, bought some storage containers (I'm determined not to have anything in boxes, I'm going to use plastic storage containers). Then I went to IKEA. I bought some "drapes" for my bedroom, but they are VERY long, so I need to press them, then cut off the bottom part, and they give you some glue tape (I'm not sure what it's called, but when you iron it on to 2 pieces, they will stick together). That'll be my project for tomorrow, and I bought these CD towers and I bought a china hutch. It's not really what I wanted, but it will do (still needs to be put together) and then I can unpack the rest of my good dishes. Guess I have my work cut out for me tomorrow (and it's already about 2 am!!! UGH!).
AND today (the 12th) is my middle daughter's 30th birthday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHELLI!). I called and told her Happy Birthday (she got my "present").
Okay... signing off.

Pics from my new house...

The three new book cases in my study (I bought them at a local "Home Depot" type place and then they had to be put together and stained... they are very sturdy and turned out great!
My study - where I've put the most effort into this week...

Two of my bookcases (there's another tall one to the left, and there's a tall one and a short one on the opposite wall, but not with many books, mainly just computer-related stuff)

YOUR guest room, should you ever come visit...

Peanut checking out the other "spare" room that will hopefully at least have a twin bed in it before too long.

I love the bathroom on the main floor of my house with its red accents!

From the bathroom area looking toward the living room/dining room.
So... work-wise... met with one couple this morning and then spent the rest of the day in training (ugh!).

AND... my car STILL IS NOT fixed! GRRRR! They said they were too short-staffed to send anyone down to pick up the coil (which will cost just under $200!). So... I'm driving my limping car over the weekend (no road trips for me this weekend!)... and will drop it back at the shop on Monday. GRRRR!
After work I came home and took the dogs for a walk, then went over to the local store, they had a truck in the parking lot where you could buy roasted chicken and french fries, so I got a 1/2 a chicken (the dogs & I did pretty good eating the chicken, but still didn't eat it all and I didn't eat all the fries either, but it tasted good).

Tonight I went upstairs and unpacked more books/boxes... it's coming along, isn't it! I'm hoping to have it all done within a couple more weeks. (Yea, it will take that long).

I also called and talked to my friend Bette. I guess with moving into my house, I didn't even think about the fact that they might already be in Hawaii (I had tried to call their house a couple times, so I sent a message to their daughter (who is a "friend" on Facebook) to ask about them and she told me they were in Hawaii. It was good to talk with her for awhile and catch up on the news.

Okay... I'm going to sign off for tonight... no real plans for tomorrow, just taking it easy, although I might go do some shopping, I'd like to find 1-2 new CD racks.

Is it Friday yet?

So... work went okay, I only had 1 no show. BUT... my car STILL is not fixed! Today they went and changed out the "wires" and it was still running rough, so now they are telling me it is the "coil" and they won't know until the morning if they can pick one up locally. I *met* the mechanic... he IS the one that almost broke his arm changing an oil filter when I was there getting my tires put on (I thought he HAD broken it), and he admitted that "electronics" aren't his speciality (YA THINK?). SO... *hopefully* they'll get the "coil" tomorrow and get it replaced AND the car will run and be fixed.
Other than that, I've been looking at flights and doing some planning for a trip with my youngest daughter and granddaughter to Disneyland in early April. That'll be a fun trip. I'll look forward to doing a little shopping, by then I should have an idea what I need/want from the states.
Okay... it's already time to take the dogs out and head to bed. Where did the night go? (Oh yea, I did go get my hair cut after work today... but that didn't take all night, LOL!).

Nice afternoon for a walk!

Isn't this a beautiful picture? There was still a little mist this afternoon...
These moss covered downed trees were along the path this afternoon

The dogs and I walked down this road a ways... it was misty off in the distance

The sun is setting...

Neat gate along the way...

Walking the path back towards town...
SO! I dropped my car off AGAIN... and they called to say one of the "wires" was bad. I had suggested that they if they were going to replace the sparkplugs that they also replace the "wires", the rotar and the cap. When I asked why they didn't I was told it was because the engine diagnostics only said there was a problem with the spark plugs (they were misfiring). But, when I started my car after I picked it up after work yesterday, I could tell right away that something wasn't running right. This morning they said there was a problem with the wiring... and the guy kind of hemmed and hawed when I asked why it wasn't figured out before they pulled it out of the garage (*I* sure noticed there was a problem!) Anyway... so now they have to order a new "wire" (it comes as a set), and if they wait for it to come from the states, it will take a couple weeks, but because they have to get it locally, it's going to cost me an extra HUNDRED dollars! Crap! Remind me to find a better car shop (providing my car survives this episode!)... I'm HOPING I get the car back in running condition tomorrow. You certainly don't expect to drop your car off to be fixed and have it turn out worse! Someone told me that when they removed the old sparkplugs, they probably damaged the wire(s)... but I'll never get the garage to admit that!

Other than that, work went okay. I only had a couple appointments today, I was supposed to go to another site for training, but didn't have transportation to get there. Looks like I'll have to wait until Friday to do that training.
After work I came home and the dogs and I went for a walk for about 45 minutes, then I came home and unpacked boxes for about an hour and a half... at least I made a dent in the boxes of books!
Now it's about bedtime, so I had better sign off. I need to take the dogs for one more walk before bedtime.
Auf Wiedersehen!
