Another Monday...

I had a busy day. This morning I met with three clients and this afternoon I was in a meeting all afternoon. And it didn't help that I had another one of my "tummy aches." I'm wondering if some of the tummy ache stuff right now is stress-related. (not like I'm under any stress right now, right?).

I pointed out to my supervisor today that my work ID card expires in 2 weeks. I don't think he remembered how soon that day is approaching. (I can't enter any data on the computer after my card expires... which coincides with the the last day of my current contract). My supervisor asked me about signing the contract with the new providers (I'd rather not). I did email the new contract company to ask what medical and dental benefits they offer (I may be able to get my pay increased if I don't need the benefits, which I don't). I also asked about their leave policy and whether or not they offer sick leave. As far as I know the new company only offers a total of 2 weeks off a year.

I did get an email from the head boss that I met with last week and he said he's working on the job situation. Two weeks though... it's getting uncomfortably down to the wire.

I keep reminding myself of a couple of my favorite mantras... "Trust the Process...", "Things will work out the way they are supposed to," "one day at a time" etc...

Okay... time to sign off... I'm tired. Peanut was restless last night and kept shifting her position around from about 4am this morning until I got up about 6.

A wonderful afternooon...

This is where I spent my afternoon, hanging out by this pool at the Hale Koa. What a nice place, eh? Every hour on the hour, they close the pool to kids for 10 minutes. That gives the lifeguards a break and lets adults have the pool for a few minutes without the kids. I took my waterproof container for the I shuffle and listened to music while I floated, it was nice!

On the way home I stopped by "Little Village" and got some Spring Rolls & Garlic Fried rice to bring home. I think I ate too much of the rice though... my tummy is over stuffed!

Okay... time to get some stuff done before I wind down for bedtime.

Aloha!

Saturday errands & movie...

I hate it when I am writing a blog and then accidentally delete it before I get it uploaded! GRRRR!

This morning I got up at 6am (thanks to my puppies) and took them out for a walk. Even though I wasn't tired, I couldn't fall back to sleep, so I played Bejeweled for an hour or so until I was tired and then fell asleep on my couch until about noon.

This afternoon I ran some errands. I have a couple friends having birthdays later this week, and then my granddaughters will be having birthdays later this month. So, I needed to pick up some birthday cards. I also bought a new trash can for my kitchen and then I went to Home Depot to look at tile. I currently have carpeted floors in my apartment, but my landlady is going to allow me to get tile put in - that will be better for the puppies, I won't have to worry about them chewing up the carpet anymore. It's going to be tough though, as the work will need to be done on weekends when I'm home, because everything is going to need to be moved from room to room to accomodate the work. I'm dreading that part! I'll be glad when it will be done though.

After my errands I met Michelle & Kaleo to watch "Shorts" (Kaleo's choice) and then we had dinner at "Big City Diner." It was good to spend time with them and I'll miss them when they move to Las Vegas next week.

Okay... time to sign off.

Aloha!

TGIF

Thought you might like this interesting picture. Can you tell what it is? It's a bubble. *smiles* I took it one day while I was snorkeling and there were some scuba divers below me. It was kind of neat, I could actually see my reflection in some of them. *smiles* It's fun to "pop" the bubbles as they come up.

Today was okay, kind of slow, but I was able to get *some* things done. This afternoon I got to meet with our new "highest" boss. It was a good meeting, although I was a little nervous. I did talk to him about my contract ending. He said he's involved and it's a priority to address the issue. I hope he's right. I also met with the supervisor of another position that is open, if my name comes down on the list, then I'll also be considered for that position and will have a decision to make. I guess a couple of my co-workers have expressed their concern about my leaving to the head boss, so he knew about my situation before I met him.

I guess I'll know more in a couple weeks (my current contract ends Sept 15th). Okay, I'd best sign off... it's late.

Aloha!

Michelle & I at the Fern Grotto on the island of Kauai

Flowers we found there that was thought were beautiful.

BANANAs! Lots of them! (Probably not ready to yet tho!).
Work went okay today, I had a couple new clients and a regular client. I stayed busy though.
Tomorrow I'm going to go over to lunch with the head Social Worker for another clinic that I am thinking about working for. I keep telling myself things will work out as they are supposed to, and I'm trying to focus on trusting the process. *smiles*
Tonight I went down and saw Makana, it was FANTASTIC concert. Now it is almost midnight tho and I wanted to get some posted tonight.

I'll sign off now though... you have a wonderful Friday!

Bye Shelli!

This is where Shelli hung out Monday while I was working... she had fun, but almost lost my camera... guess she has the family luck... she was able to get it back!

Michelle's on a plane right now heading back to Tucson. We had a good day together, a restful morning and then we went to the Swap meet and picked up some stuff. I have a good friend that lives in TX that asked me to pick her up some things... so I did. Michelle just picked up a couple little things. Then we went & had lunch, picked up some macadamia nut chocolates for her to take back and then we went & got a Malasada (Portuguese donut).

I got her to the airport just before 2, her flight was to leave a little after 3, but it was delayed and the plane didn't leave until almost 4. So, she will be getting into Phoenix about 1am, and has a 2 hour drive ahead of her (YIKES!), to Tucson.

Tomorrow it's back to work for me... and then I get to go to a concert tomorrow night. Makana is playing and a good friend got some free tickets. It doesn't start until 8pm though, so it'll be a late night tomorrow night.

Okay... gotta scoot!

Aloha!

Another day off...

Sunset at the end of Ke'e beach on the North Shore of Kauai. I actually took the pictures through the lense of my sunglasses - I liked the effect.
Work went okay today, I had group with 9 clients this morning and I'm not sure what all I did this afternoon, but the time went by fast!
I'm off tomorrow (Wednesday) as my daughter is leaving to head back to Arizona. She's had a great time here. Today she went down to Ward Center and Ala Moana. She didn't get in the water, but enjoyed some reading down by the beach. Tonight we went out to dinner at California Pizza Kitchen and had some wonderful pizza! mmmmm!
Okay... time to sign off...

Hellooooo...

Hello! I'm doing summersaults while snorkeling! That always gives you an interesting perspective.
We were in one of the caves up on the Napali on our raft ride...

Look at that water... pretty eh? There were kayakers that came into this cave (the cave had an hole that looks up, I guess from a helicopter they call it the "eye").
Work was busy today, catching up on emails, doing a project for my supervisor and seeing a client. I was also busy in the "job" department. I got an email from the people who won the new contract for my position and they say their final offer is $5 less than I currently make, 1 less week of paid time off and less $$ for educational expenses. So... it was kind of... "let me get this right... you want me to do the same job, for $5 less, less time off and less $ for educational expenses?" Yea, right.
So... I made another call to the other contract agency, but haven't heard back yet from them. And I realized that the other job that I'm interesting in, closed today. Thankfully I saw the announcement today, so I was able to update my online resume (which hadn't been updated since 2006) and get it submitted (whew!). I also updated my references to include some co-workers. All my references had been from before 2006, so I needed more current references from people who I work with now and people I know. I wanted to put my friend Michelle, but she's in the process of moving, so I couldn't use her, unfortunately!
I'm feeling a tad nervous/anxious... I know that at this point I have to keep telling myself to "trust the process" and know that "everything will work out the way it is supposed to."
Okay... I'm going to sign off. Keep me in your thoughts over the next few weeks.
Aloha!

Kbay & Parasailing

My good friend Michelle & I... she'll be moving to Vegas soon & will be missed!
Daughter Michelle, me & Kaleo (My friend Michelle's son... he's a great kiddo!)

The tide was too high for any sand today, but we had fun none-the-less... Here's a view looking towards Chinaman's Hat.

Bruno & Peanut weren't too sure about boogie boarding! *smiles*

"I think we should try swimming instead... just keep your nose above water!" smiles.

This is one of about 4 turtles I saw today while snorkeling off the reef at the end of the sandbar. Daughter Michelle had a GREAT time snorkeling here... and we had Kaleo out... he did fantastic, I didn't know til we got back to the boat that this was his first time snorkeling.

The view from above... when Michelle & I went parasailing this afternoon.

Diamond Head from up above parasailing over Honolulu off of Kewalo Basin.

This is actually a picture of one of the couples that went out on the boat the same time Michelle & I did, but it shows you what parasailing is (kind of). We went up 750 feet and when you come back down, if you are okay with it, they will dunk you (lightly) in the water. It was great. Michelle was nervous and then found out how easy it was.
After our parasailing we went into the Hale Koa in Waikiki and I sipped on Diet soda while Michelle indulged in a Mai Tai & a Pina Colada. She thought that was neat, sitting out by a "fancy" hotel in Waikiki enjoying a drink. Not quite on the beach, but almost. (No alcohol allowed on the beach).
Michelle then took me out to dinner at the restaurant of my choice, so we went to "Little Village" in Chinatown. It was SOOOO delicious! She really loved the Garlic Fried rice, like I do. We had spring rolls, I had Honey Walnut Shrimp, we had the rice and Michelle had a 2 minute chicken in Fried noodles. It was all great food! After dinner we took a drive through Waikiki before heading home.
Now it's almost 10pm and time for me to head to bed. I have work tomorrow.
Aloha!

Waimea Bay

Sunset at Waimea Bay.
Come sail with me (don't I wish!)....
I saw a couple turtles today snorkeling....

Notice anything odd about this picture?? Yep...it's missing it's front flipper. It was swimming just fine, but apparently must have been attacked by a shark at some point.
Other than that, we just kind of rested this morning (still recuperating from Kauai). My tummy has been hurting yesterday and a little bit today. My doc did mention that it might be Diverticulitis... I'm beginning to agree.
This afternoon before we went snorkeling and swimming up at Waimea Bay, I stopped by the office to check my email. I got an email from the new contract company. They said the position was budgeted at $17 less an hour than I currently make, but because I've got experience there... they were willing to offer me a salary $5 less an hour than I make now and with a week less of vacation time. I also had a message from a guy who works in another department, they have a vacancy open. I may end up taking that one, because it would be about the same pay, but with many more benefits. I still need to contact the other contracting agency to see what they pay and consider that option as well. I've got about 3 weeks until my current contract ends.
So... a lot to think about.

Right now I need to get off this computer and head to bed. Michelle & I will be meeting up with friends at 6:30am tomorrow morning to head out to the sand bar. It's 10pm now.
Aloha!

Back on Oahu...

So... we made it back to Oahu... barely made the flight. We've had three long exhausting days, especially yesterday when we took the 6 hour raft ride around the Napali, Michelle said it was like being on a rollercoaster for 6 hours... I agree.

Today we headed north, stopping off at the Kilauea Lighthouse, Queen's Bath, Hanelei & then headed to Ke'e Beach park to catch the sunset (which set at 7pm and then we had to high-tail it back to Lihue)... it was just a miracle that we made the flight... long story... I don't want to write about it now, it's almost midnight and I'm ready to collapse in my bed!

Aloha!

Aloha from Kauai!

It's hard to tell, but we are looking at dolphins here. The type of boat we went out in was a zodiak, like the one above (there were two boats with a total of 30 people). We went around the Napali Coastline. The weather was cloudy off and on, and you couldn't see all the way up into Kalalau Valley as I had hoped, but that is the way it goes on an island.
We were on the raft for about 6 hours (including a stop for lunch). Whew... I'm EXHAUSTED! It was one of the more difficult things I've done. You wouldn't know that or think that, necessarily, but I am SO sore! We basically had to hang onto ropes the whole way out there and back. Think of riding a bucking bronco for 6 hours... tomorrow I'm going to feel muscles I didn't have. Do I regret doing it, absolutely not... but I *will* pay the price (my body is anyway). Would I do it again... naw... I think it's one of those "once in a lifetime experiences". I enjoyed going into the sea caves and the guides were awesome! I highly recommend CAPTAIN ANDY's Napali coast tour!
I'm going to sign off... I'm at a local "club" here on Kauai, it's the only place I can get internet access... there is NO phone access where we are staying, but then... we are staying on 8 miles of beach that is restricted. The general public can NOT go on the beach, so it's secluded and isolated. We will get back to Oahu late on Friday... so not sure I'll post tomorrow night or not.

Going to scoot for now.
Aloha!

A BEAUTIFUL Day!!!!

Hey... so, my daughter made it here to Hawaii. I told her that there was a beach at the end of the airport runway, she didn't believe me, so I took her over there (it's on the Air Force base). In the photo just above, you can see a couple planes getting ready for take off.
She was awestruck by the color of the water... it IS a beautiful turquoise blue. I haven't been to thia beach in quite awhile. It gets pretty busy there on weekends.
I also had to go run a couple errands this afternoon, so she was patient enough to go with me (she was just happy to be here in Hawaii!).
Okay... I'm going to sign off, because we are going to the North Shore to look for turtles and then to a Mexican restaurant up there for dinner. (Choloes). We have to be up REALLY early tomorrow morning to head to Kauai... I can't wait. Oh... and I did make reservations for one more activity on Sunday afternoon, we are going to go Parasailing. She's nervous, but she's going to find out how easy it is and how enjoyable it is!
Aloha!

YAY! Off work for the rest of the week!

I had a fairly busy day with some unexpected issues to deal with (not bad issues, just issues). I probably didn't document everything that I should have... but I just ran out of time at the end of the day. I was able to get out of work relatively on time because I had to stop by the pharmacy to pick up a prescription and they close at 5, I got there 1 minute before they closed! Whew!
I came home and the pups had shredded another potty pad... I'm tempted to put them in the bathroom tomorrow!
I didn't hear from the new contracting company, but I did get an email from the guy who does the hiring for a few other positions that we have in our clinic (to include the position that my retiring co-worker will be vacating). He asked me to call him to talk. He said in his email that he hadn't heard of the other company before either (the one that won the bid). I did email the company that won the bid and let them know that I will be off for the rest of the week.
In some ways I am feeling very stressed right now, but then try to remember the mantra "Trust the Process." That's one I use a lot, and "things will work out the way they are supposed to work out."
Okay... I guess I'd better sign off. I need to get up early and finish cleaning up my apartment. I also have to make a couple stops before I pick up Michelle. She is due in about 11:25am. YEA!
Aloha!

My backyard pool *smiles*

It was a good day to be in the water, at least *I* thought so... and a "few" of my neighbors. *smiles*.
Actually... it was nice to lay out on Ala Moana beach, work on my tan a little bit and then float in the ocean for an hour or so. I think I was down there for 3+ hours (after stopping for a bite to eat on the way down, and then I had Subway later).
Tonight I've been moving some furniture back (the dining room table and chairs, etc). I've still got some cleaning to do and laundry. I still need to change out the sheets on my bed and get those washed. Guess I haven't had as productive a day as my daughter Michelle said she has had. (She finished her hardest chapter in her dissertation, at least the rough draft of it... it's taken awhile and a LOT of research and reading).

Okay... I'm going to sign off... just wanted to share a couple pictures with you!
Aloha!
- Kris
P.S. I may not be able to post on Weds, Thurs & Friday, as those are the days we will be in Kauai. Just a heads up for my "regular" readers! You know who you are! *wink*

Saturday

I've had a somewhat busy day, this morning it was emptying my living room of everything except the couch and the fish tank, and shampooing the carpet. A friend of mine said I needed to use HOT water, that hot water is the secret to getting carpets clean. The carpet cleaner I used didn't have a hot water thing on it, so I boiled water in pots to put in the shampooer. I have to say... other than from the doggies, the carpet was pretty clean. (It's cleaner now!). I always take off my shoes when I come into the apartment (and generally ask everyone else to as well).
This afternoon I wanted to go someplace cool (and I don't drink coffee or tea, so coffee houses are out for me), so I checked out the movie schedule and saw an Adam Sandler movie "Funny People." There was only 1 other person there in the theater... that should have given me a clue. I kept waiting for it to get good... it never did. It is NOT a movie I'd recommend. I should have gone to see Time Traveler's Wife, or Julie & Julia. Oh well... next time. It was nice to be in an air conditioned place for awhile. Tonight's dinner was some grilled salmon & steak (not too much) and then fruit. I had cherries, blueberries, and banana. *smiles*
Tonight I've just been messing on my computer. I can't do too much moving of furniture around (back into the livingroom) yet, because the carpet is still drying, so I will do it tomorrow. Maybe after I go snorkeling? If I get to bed before too long.
Okay... I'm signing off.
Aloha!

It's Aloha Friday, no work til Monday!

Just another flower picture I took on my way to work today... beautiful colors!

All is well here in Hawaii, we are supposed to have a nice weekend. I'll be spending the better part of my weekend inside cleaning. I got the bedrooms and hallway shampooed tonight and tomorrow I'll tackle the livingroom. Then I have to put everything back that I have to move around!

Work went okay today, I only saw one client but I had a busy day with paperwork. I went to lunch with some of my co-workers, that's always an enjoyable thing (we eat together all the time, but once a week or so we go out somewhere to eat).

I didn't hear anything back from the new contract company today (as they had said I would). I emailed a guy who works in another section of our clinic to ask about a job posting I saw with his clinic area, but he's on vacation right now. I also emailed the person that is currently hiring for three positions down at our main clinic (not where I *really* would want to work... but it *would* allow me to further increase my professional skills), but she didn't respond either, but then again, it was a Friday afternoon. The other person I also had hoped to hear from, the one that runs the other contract that some of my other co-workers work for (including the one retiring), but didn't hear from him either.

Hopefully I'll hear something Monday (and then I'm out of the office the rest of the week).

There is another hurricane out in the Pacific headed towards the Hawaiian islands. They are predicting it to decrease to a depression, but I am *really* hoping that it doesn't mean we will have a rainy week next week when my daughter is here & we go over to Kauai! Which reminds me of something... I got my waterproof camera back from the repair shop. It looks like they may have just given me a new camera body. I put it in the sink tonight with water for about 10 minutes and it didn't leak. So... I'm going to keep my fingers crossed.

Okay... I'm going to scoot and think about going to bed soon.

Aloha!

Bird of Paradise flower

This isn't the best picture in the world, but I took it yesterday morning outside of where I work. *smiles*

I had my doctor's appt today. He basically just gave me the results I already knew, and he's going to prescribe me some medication to see if it helps. I'll have a lab draw in October and then see him again in late October to follow up.

This afternoon I helped co-facilitate a group, we had 14 in group today. I think it's good to co-facilitate groups this large, mainly to help with all the documentation. I did get an email back from the new contracting agency. (I sent them a copy of my resume yesterday). Anyway, they said the Human Resource Division person would be back in tomorrow. I decided to be somewhat proactive and let them know just how much I'm making now (they asked if that was as an independent contractor, where you pay all your own taxes and such, I told them "No!" I'm not). I also went ahead and told them what benefits I currently have (I don't want to end up with less than what I already have!). I also told them that a co-worker will be retiring about the time my contract ends and one of the options I have, is to apply for his position, and that there are some other positions within the larger clinic area that are open as well (I want them to know that I have options and that I am keeping my options open... and in reality, there are at least three jobs I could get within the clinic... a couple might not pay as much, but some of the benefits are better). I imagine I'll hear back from the company tomorrow about the contract. I also sent an email to the other contracting agency that my co-worker is in (the one retiring) and let them know that I might be interested in applying for a position with them, depending on what the new contracting company offers. Of course, none of my current co-workers want me to leave... they are fretting about it. (My boss doesn't want me to leave either!). If I *don't* stay, that means when I leave, and my one co-worker retires, there will be 4 empty positions and that will hurt them! (and put a LOT of stress on those remaining). So... it was an interesting day all-in-all... tomorrow will be even more interesting.

After work I went and got my nails done... I'm good for a couple more weeks.

I'm going to sign off for today.

Aloha!

Whew! What a day!

Good Evening (or Good morning as the case may be). The photo above was taken from Magic Island (it's not really an island, but that's another story). I love watching the boats go in and out of the docks.
Work was VERY busy today. We had case staffing today, I presented 3 cases and reviewed about a dozen more, and I had an individual session this afternoon, all of which resulted in having to write up/do 30 notes! A nice thing about days like today, is that we often go out for lunch together, today we went to "Ruby Tuesdays." (I never get my money's worth... it's not the cheapest place to eat... $11.99 for the salad bar). But... it IS fun to go out together. We were missing 3 co-workers, two are sick (one has the flu and I was told they don't even bother testing for N1H1 anymore????) and one was coming in late today after going to the "No Doubt" concert last night. I left work just after 6 again tonight. But, I will be going into work late tomorrow as I have an appt for a follow-up on the Nuclear scan again. My guess is that he will want to do a blood test to check my PTH levels (I would do that if I were the doc).
I got some good news today, my youngest daughter has gotten another job (her last job was a brand-new branch of a Canadian company that tried to start up a new business just as the economy was falling so fast, they ended up closing down the branch). She'll be working for a Construction company. I hope it works out well for her. She is a really quick learner and is quite talented in the workplace. She's worked in an office since she was a young kid and would come in and help me with mass mailings and filing and other tasks.
Okay... time to sign off.
Aloha!

USS Arizona Memorial

So... I had a WAY crazy busy day today. I did group by myself and had 13 people in group then I also met with a couple clients for individual sessions and talked to another one on the phone. Then I had to do all the paperwork for those clients and then type up some reviews of some cases I will be presenting tomorrow.
This afternoon I found out that my company I am currently hired through, did NOT get the new contract for this coming year. They told me the name of the company, it is out of Annapolis MD. And it sounds like they significantly underbid the company I work for... which if I read that right, when they offer me a job, my pay may take a pretty big cut. I'm hoping not... but time will tell. Even my boss didn't recognize the name of the company that won the bid. Right now I need to wait for Managed Care to contact me with the company's name, so I can contact the company. If it is too much of a pay cut, then I could possibly put in for a position downtown in our other clinic, but I'm not sure I want to deal with the rush hour traffic. I'll have to tell myself to "trust the process" and "thing will work out the way they are supposed to."
Other that than, my brother-in-law was flying through the island on his way back to Spokane. So I went down after work and we went over to Ford Island where we took some pictures of the Arizona Memorial, Matt seemed to really enjoy that! Then we went to the Navy Exchange to eat and browse around. It was a good time to spend with him.
And Bette... I got your email AND my TEE short! Thank-you, Thank-you,, Thank-you!!!
Aloha!

Bruno & Peanut

So... here's a pic of Bruno & Peanut. They were in their bed because they had chewed up a phone book while I was gone Saturday. (They didn't chew it up too bad, but enough to get scolded and sent to bed!).

Work was somewhat busy today, even though I only saw two clients (one was an intake). But then I had a meeting all afternoon. I found out this afternoon that I have to review about 15 cases on Wednesday, which means I need to review the charts and type up reports for each one.
I got a couple done late this afternoon and didn't leave work until 6:15pm.

The weather system (what was Hurricane Felicia) has calmed down and will probably come across as a Tropical depression, at least that is what they are saying right now. We still have about 24 hours before it gets here. At least we aren't experiencing what China & Taiwan have been experiencing! Whew!

Not much else to write about so I'll sign off for today. (Bette are you out there? You've been pretty quiet!).

Aloha!

Snorkeling at Shark's Cove

Uh... Hello!

At least none seem to be trying to swim upstream! *smiles*

More colorful in person, I think.

And what would my blog be if I couldn't find a turtle picture or two or three to post when I've been snorkeling?
I ended up going to Shark's Cove to snorkel because the parking lot at Waimea Bay was full at 8am this morning! They were having a rough water swim meet. (open ocean swim meet). Darn it! So... I continued up the road a bit to Shark's Cove. It was raining when I first got there, so I just hung out a bit and waited for the weather to clear and then went it (as you can tell from the top picture, it did clear up nicely!). I spent a couple hours up there, then stopped by the store on the way home for some last minute food stuff (before I start the work week and the "storm" hits).
Hurricane Felicia has been downgraded to a Tropical storm and is predicted to cross the top of the Big Island sometime tomorrow night but then it's headed straight towards Oahu (according to predictions). I hope it continues to decrease in strength, if I am right, once it gets into Hawaiian waters, the warmer water, it could strengthen again. They are also watching some low tropical depression south of the state, saying they could develop into "something." I hope not.
No worries here though until at least tomorrow night, so I will post an update on the storm system tomorrow night. I'm a little worried about those who left last night on the cruise around the islands... they are headed in the direction of the storm (unless they've modified their route).
Okay... gotta scoot. News is coming on.
Aloha!

Magic Island

I had a good afternoon soaking up some sun and relaxing on a "floaty" at Ala Moana. I haven't been there for a long time, so it was nice to go back. I'd love to take my granddaughters down there some time. I took the above picture today.

This morning I went through a bunch of mail that has accumulated and got a bag's worth of junk to shred. Unfortunately... I went to the wrong bank location where they had a "shredder" truck available. So... now that bag is still in the back of my car. I may take the stuff up to work and put it in our shred box, I don't think anyone will really care. It's not a whole lot (more than I want to shred by hand though!

I did make it to the Post Office to mail off a watch that I had ordered. It has a green face with the UH logo, unfortunately, when they sent it, they sent a man's watch instead of a females. So... I had to send it back, they said they would reimburse the postage. I'm looking forward to having it for the football season (I've got season passes again).

Other than that, Hurricane Felicia continues to make progress towards Hawaii, I think tonight they said it was 700 miles or so off the Big Island. It's supposed to hit Oahu sometime Monday afternoon to Tuesday morning. Right now it is still supposed to weaken in intensity before it hits. I hope the weather forecasters are right!

Okay, I'm going to sign off and go take a shower. I'm hoping to wake up early to head up to the North Shore for some swimming and snorkeling. Stay tuned for pictures!

Aloha!
